RARE! CP Military Unit Train at Finch!!! 

This is all British Army vehicles heading back to the UK from BATUS (British Army Training Unit Suffield) located at CFB Suffield in SE Alberta. Railhead is 8km south of the base along the Trans Canada highway. Usually done twice a year exchanging vehicles for the summer training season.

Great catch. I have seen a CN Army Train 5-6 years ago.

Any CF vehicle that can operate on public roads will have a CANADA plate on it. Not sure about the Leopards but other tactical vehicles like the LAV's have plates.

Challengers and a 44AC would be paradise.

@Zebrails That does make sense to some degree, I have no doubt that there were some CF personnel in the observation car, and with the observation deck towards the train, they could keep an eye on the train so to speak, and I guess, if armed, could possibly use their weapons if necessary. Just some ideas, and assumptions.

That train in transferring equipment from BATUS that's British army nothing to do with the Canadian army. That was not a leopard its a Challenger 2 and the last car on the train is for the crew thats watching the equipment. Also the vehicles painted red are the range safety, this train was heading out of Suffield Alberta most likely heading for a port in Montreal.

Warriors are British army A.P.Cs This train is heading either to or from an exercise the warriors painted red are enemy not really that rare of an occurrence.

The farm makes a nice back drop. Well done! . There is a big chunk of tax money from working people. The government spent insane amounts of money to buy all that hardware, plus more wasted money to move it around. That money should be going to schools, bicycle lanes, community programs and all manner of scientific research.
