Let me give you guys a joke about Gregory. A producer gave him a song but told him he can only give him half the sum that Gregory charged him as initial payment. Anyway Gregory starting to sing the song in the studio. Halfway Gregory just stopped and said this is it. He further said to the producer when you pay me the other half I will complete the song. True incident. LOL
I remember my mum driving me back from seeing my grandmother the day Gregory passed. It was announced on a local station called Ujima which was a Pirate radio station at the time. The presenter said something along the lines of "now some very sad news, mister Gregory Isaacs has sadly passed". Both me and my mum gasped when we heard that. Sadest thing was he was supposed to play in Bristol not long after. Like others have said, Rest in power Gregory! Your legacy lives on.
