I remember the Froug's store as a child, my mom and sister shopped there. Went in the Fourth National Bank building when new, had a relative who worked there, plus went to Christmas parties on top at the Summit Club in the late 70s. I believe it was tallest building in Tulsa when built surpassing the NBT tower? One of my college roommates had a gravy union job at First National tower when they were building it in 1973 & 1974, lol. That became the tallest building in Tulsa until the BOK tower was built.

Disgusting what Tulsa did to itself back then--worse demolition than most all American cities. Today, when you look at downtown from drone shots or Google earth, all you see are parking lots where hundreds of viable commercial and residential buildings once stood. The remaining structures from earlier days and the few nearer buildings almost look like an office park rather than the downtown it actually is. Thank God for the new life that has returned to Tulsa's core. Thanks for the video.

Thanks for sharing the sad and quick demise of some buildings perhaps many Tulsans today would have liked to have preserved instead. What was true for Tulsa in terms of demolition of historic, old buildings is true for a lot of cities in the U.S. Being from the Chicago area I think of all the huge train stations in the city's downtown that are long gone replaced with simple glass and steel, functional train stations lacking any architectural character.

You’re absolutely correct. Building 7 specifically is a great example.
