Depends... if the enemies of that tank on a particular battlefield has no airsupport and no AT capability, then any tank will survive just fine. Even Russias outdated tanks from the 60s.

"The American supplied tank, one of the most advanced in the world". Uhm, not exactly. The Americans supplied Ukraine with older models of the Abrams, as did Germany with their delivery of Leopard 2's. But even though these are older, less advanced versions, they appear to be doing quite well.

The Bradleys are destroying anything russia sends its way, and everyone knows the russian hardware is crap. That’s why India backed out of its purchase deal and plans to buy from the US now - the world has seen how horribly the russian hardware has oerformed against the American hardware. It’s like the russian federation just froze in time technologically after the breakup of the USSR. The rf has made very little, if any, technological advances… while the US has left russia decades behind. The only thing helping russia here at all is that everyone is sending Ukraine decades-old hardware, which is even better than russia’s latest. Everyone knows that, Ivan… 😂😂😂

The m1 abrams have poor mobility on such terrains plus the large number of tank unfriendly enviroments(villages cities forest and rough artillery blasted plains) therefore they just use them on defense purpose for cover the problem also mind up ukraine limited air forces

obviously they have over watch from FPV drones that will neutralize any anti tank threats that become apparent, but yes, this isnt the smartest way to use a tank, regardless whether its is an Abrams or a T72. even if the tank completely reduces these trenches, you still need boots on the ground to hold them.

It has air support from drones and land support from artillery. Drones change war. Ukraine knew exactly who was in that trench and what weapons they had before the tank got anywhere near it.

In 1991 in Iraq, some of our M1A1 tankers approached those trench lines from the end, firing ahead of them down into the trenches as they went, and drove along the entire trench lengthwise, caving in the trenches on top of the Iraqi soldiers in them as they went.

Notice the "closed crew hatches" also known as active anti-drone defenses. This Abrams is fighting alone and that is honorable. Not tactical by any means but I don't know their situartion there. The tank commander may not be aware of the length of that trenchline from his perspective. The rissians still havent figured out closing their hatches can save them from burning to death.

Optimal circumstances and current circumstances are rarely the same thing, much less so in a war. the T-34 were not supposed to be buried halfway underground and be turned into pillboxes with giant cannons but that is what the soviets had to do to beat Tigers.

Ukraine use artillery preparations and a company tanks with fpv and drone drop units on its approach it doesn’t need any more tanks as they are just more targets Ukraine have been using this tactic with Bradley ifvs to stop Russian breakthrough and to counter attack . It’s being used in many directions. The tactic not abrams I don’t know where exactly this was I’m sure it was said though .

Ukrainian soldiers have said in videos that the Abrams are terrible on that soil and need a lot of maintenance. So that why they are rarely used in combat. They use them as artillery

That is such nonsense, the Abrams was designed to fight the Russian military in Europe that was its main goal when it came into service, just like the Leopard the problem is they dont have 1- the experience to work with a turbine powered tank which is more difficult in the field. 2- They dont have the infrastructure to operate these tanks the way the US does.

@@tonyradoina9147no the abrams was designed for Nato doctrine of "few but good" high survival all around MBT to work in conjunctions to other forces here there soviet tanks doctrine aim to a massive meccanized and armoured wave overwhelming the enemy akin to blitzkrieg. The abrams was design about being able to achieve high tactical mobility for ending up in defense there the emphasis on defense and survivability is a force multiplier against a many tanks.

Their is a video too it’s supported by artillery and drones and they use one so it has a big chance of survival because when we attacked with more , a lot got destroyed so they use this strategy also with the American Bradley’s too support by drones and artillery preparation. You see this tank going to the Russian trdd Ed machine and shooting into the trench . If you wanted to you could find it .
