A very tame golden pheasant, found when on a walk. No ring on its foot, but likely to have escaped or released from an aviary The area is open moorland with a dense pine forest, & ideal for them to live.
They are originally from China, but breeding birds are established in Britain. Between 50-100 pairs in the south UK according to RSPB.
