Javagal Srinath was One man Army in Fast bowling for India for so many years, in Test matches Srinath was bowling 35 overs & Kumble 45 overs in a day. Great Hard work done by Legend Javagal Srinath.
My childhood hero, I use to copy his bowling action. In my home wall clock stick his photo it remains for 1 decade. Sad part proper send off not given by BCCI. I love him very much one of his best batting against Aus Bangalore great ptnship with kumble winning knock...
I am the one among them..I thought he will hold the ball with middle and ring fingers and I too used the same technique and I was able to generate great pace. Later days I come to that he holds the ball normally with index and middle fingers.
Srinath from 2000-03 was so consistent, reason for that he had consistently pitched the ball up, got movement, became a lot stronger, less injuries and had solid support from Zak, agarkar and nehra. had he that support from 93 onwards he would had 300 plus test wickets
If you are loving a fast bowler skill, Just see his bowling follow through, while he ends his bowling, with a genuine pace as well, strongly feel if he's playing even in current era, he can make the batsman life hell.Hit like for Mysore Express.👍 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Many people had branded Srinath as not being aggressive enough. But Srinath was one of the most agressive fast bowler and a gentleman in behavior. Most Indians don't understand what the word aggressive means . They think abusing the batsman's mother , sister or wife after getting a wicket is aggression . It is not the real meaning . Aggression is to bowl with intent of getting batsmen out instead of trying to contain them. Many bowlers who came after srinath used to go crazy after taking a wicket and go on to abuse the batsman's mother . Scared that bcci will brand them as not aggressive enough.
What Srinath lacked thou was killer instinct, there were times when you attack him he would go haywire but in terms of ability Srinath was as gd as any in that era, slightly underachieved overall. Tall, pace, bounce, seam, hard lenghts Srinath had pretty much everything..great bowler
The real fraud has already done his part by some obvious juggling of the ball before he caught, maybe that was part of the deal. Hope you did not miss that.
Srinath an outstanding bowler. He is underrated and was never after media attention.Totally dedicated to sport.Md Azhar an excellent fielder and wristy magician with the bat.
During 90s, ODIs mainly played in Australia, New Zealand & South Africa gave aesthetic appeal due to Colourful Jerseys, Lush Outfield & TV Coverage. Jerseys were well thought designed usually connected to country cricketing culture & Emblems of the nation. The every nation's jersey had base design with colours as per the nation.. Most fondly remembered series : Benson & Hedges ODI Series ( Carlton & United Series ), ANZ ODI Series, Centenary Cup, Standard Bank Tri-Series.
@@DheerajKumar-kr9lm No....Ganguly was cricketer of the year 2007 and retired in 2008....85 against Australia in his last test match.....He was in form of his life....
Srinath was most underrated fast bowler,he has contributed with his full heart in every outing for India. Also in each series India and other teams have different pattern Jerseys.
Remember watching this match early in the morning , was disappointed with India score but then there was the javagal Srinath magic that suddenly made it exciting and some hope sprung up
@Vvc Anipakala I think don't know before the 2003 World Cup he wants to announce the retirement but Sourav Ganguly (Sourav Dada) requested him to play for the world cup that's why he didn't announce the retirement & played Tour of Newzealand to prove his fitness & his consistency was so good in that tour please don't talk bullshit thing
Nice Indian jersey..with the INDIAN FLAG IMAGE.. 👍👍 Martin Crowe ( RIP) was so fantastic to watch, one of my favorites. Thanks to Shrinath's height, the dive of Mongia didn't effect him at all.. 😜🤣😂
This is d game from cenetary cup 1995..this game was under match fixing radar..as manoj prabhakar had allegations of match fixing...gr8 upload bro..superb..👌👍
@@supirush it was 95 centenary cut indeed. Still remember watching all games live at 3am IST. Ind won against Aus after been beaten by NZ and SA where Ajay Jadeja played a dead slow innings of 25odd from 80odd balls chasing a mediocre target.
Apt killer instinkt bowler in my teenage time. No left handed batsman took him to attack. In that era if he has some luck he is the one of highest wicket taker(bcz lots of edgings)a genuine agressive pace bowler without sledging, he showed his pace in the delivery of the ball.
Sachin, shrinath and kumble were great players and human being.they never fixed any match and remained untainted in the era of match fixing. It shows their honesty towards the game.on the other hand players like Azhar, jadeja and mongia tried to backstab their own team mates by match fixing.
The three musketeers of betting aka Azhar , Jadeja and Mongia shamed both cricket and country to unimaginable proportions. Along with the names u mentioned Dravid and Ganguly also played the game in true spirit and the team was often let down by the three black sheeps of Indian Cricket.
During those days I got big dish antenna where channel name prime sports telecasted most of cricket matches. I guess there was South Africa too in this tournament and India did not make to final
How many of you agree with me, india should play cricket in retro style. Especially this jersey i loved very much. This is the best way to attract fans.
It will be great if you could upload the odi between England and Australia in Perth on jan 1995. This match was part of the quadrangular series in Australia which featured Zimbabwe and England along with Australia A. Will be great if you could upload that video. Jan 10 1995
