RARE Losi MTXL! 1st run

This is my Losi MTXL. I bought it used for £400. its stock, apart from the kill switch, body wrap and a tuned pipe ( which i forgot to mention in the video)
Very short run, which ended due to what i think is a snapped drive pin at the rear wheel.
Hopefully lots more on this mTxl to come i the future!

I am so heartbroken that the MTXL is no longer in production 😪! I am glad that I was fortunate to buy one brand new! I owned it for a year before even turning it over for the first time, two full time, 12 hour night jobs didn't allow for much time to do anything with it, when I was off from one job, I was at the other and vice versa. I actually wanted to get a second MTXL (Box New) but oh well. I never cared that it was based on the DBXL, I am a Monster Truck guy! Your video is a great display of why Horizon Hobbies should reconsider the DC Status of the MTXL, And if they did, even for a limited time, I'd trick off my mortgage, pull a loan, or sell all 35 RC's for 3 more of them! it looks like it handles well, seems to have good balance from what I saw on that short run. look forwards to it's next outing. Nice track - always good to see new ones being built

The trouble with the MTXL it is just a DBXL with bigger wheels putting a strain on the already inherently weak drivetrain, I kept breaking centre and the front driveshaft's also one rear along with a cup, so it is retired to the shelf, probably dur to going up in CC to a OBR 32cc reed motor and heavy duty clutch.

Better than an Xmaxx? Ha! An Xmaxx would smoke that thing, not to mention it's much more durable.

@@RCmaxxUK It's not that much bigger, the xmaxx is big enough, it's huge. And that's a good thing about not having a combustion engine; electric is much better, faster, more torque, quieter, more reliable, etc.

adamaj I’m not knocking the Xmaxx mate. I have the 8s and had the original 6s. Plenty of videos on them on my Chanel. I think the Xmaxx is my favourite brushless basher. The mtxl is very different of course. It is considerably bigger than an Xmaxx and being petrol it has that bonus for those that prefer an engine over electric power.
