*** INSTALLED 1998! Featuring a VERY unusual encounter with a perfectly preserved 90s Schindler HT! Notice the primitive HT chimes, controller, and fixtures. This is a prime example of how 321A was the pilot for 330A.
That's actually a great question. For those of you who have trouble finding the difference between 321As and 330As, let me help you. For a 321A, it is only Hole-less hydraulic, and only has a single sliding door. It cannot have a rear door. Also, the capacity is only 2100 LBS or 2500 LBS. They are also installed between 1998 and 2001. For a 330A, it can be in-ground or hole-less, various capacities, can have a rear or side door, and also installed past 2001. Hope this helps!
Unfortunately it probably will get the chimes replaced because schindler is just like that with chimes Also if the elevator gets serviced it will most likely get replaced :( High pitch chimes suck
@@ShowMeStateElevators it was several years ago when I was like 4 or something. My brain constantly mixes memory’s together so it was most likely a 321A. I’ve never been to the east coast, but I swear I’ve heard these exact chimes in my early childhood. Several years before I started watching elevator videos. I still can’t understand the vague memory of these super low pitched chimes:P
I was hoping you'd do this one. I liked ih8escalator's take, but this one is a lot nicer. I have noticed that same behavior on the low pitch at my local Ultra Foods. The chime doesn't ring when you place in a call from the inside.
***** It's not that the lantern doesn't flash. With these older 321A models, the lantern automatically lights up when the door opens compared to 330A where you have to place in a call to light the lantern and sound the chime.
I meant the CALL BUTTON, on normal schindler ht's, if you push the button it will light up for a moment but will go out for a second then come back on.
Just so to let you know I've been on two Schindler 321A's before. Both got that same capacity plate and the same floor brailles. Sadly both have the chimes replaced.
