She is superbly creative with her runs-whether dodging tough notes on a compromised voice day or going for arrangements tougher than the recording on a solid voice day.
Despite the tiredness and hoarseness of her voice on this night, she still gave her all and put an effort singing those trills, riffs and runs. Respect!!! She’s definitely fearless and a no lazy singer. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
She wanted to go up and she did 3:46 and 3:49 but everytime she went up, her voice got incredibly rapsy immediately so the sensation must be extremely uncomfortable for her to say the least. That's probably she didn't stay up there and went back down right away
I also think it was because of the change of the lifestyle (e.g., drink). She was very disciplined before then she got the taste of freedom during the Butterfly era. I couldn't blame her though. She needed to be free and fly away.
After years of listening to the bootleg it is absolutely phenomenal to be hearing this! Her voice is so clear in this performance and you can feel the emotion. Thank you for releasing one of my favorite performances ever :)
OMG this was one of her best performances of this song from Butterfly tour I think. There was a little bit rasp on the belts as they always were during this era, they were always a bit throaty. But she had so many great runs, I think it made up for it! Her agility was great here (it always is really lol)
I always thought this , Butterfly, and Outside were one of the first songs she recorded for the Butterfly album being as tho her voice was still very Daydream like
@@alcostfo__5823 So butterfly stans need to keep it cute then. Whether or not it was due to health issues daydream was objectively her vocal peak. Y’all like to pretend like she not 😒
The level of delusion among many lambs is something I will never understand. I know Mariah was a vocal goddess. In her prime, only the best of the best could keep up with her. But this recording in this video is far from being a great vocal moment. It isn't even "good". There are comments here that say this is her best tone during this era, this is the best performance of this song by her, resonant and sweet, very beautiful, etc. But the fact is, she sounded like an exhausted drunk amateur on a karaoke session. This was not good. This was painful to listen to. Why can't many lambs see that objective truth? To think lambs in general are very critical of other singers whose covers are actually many times better than this live performance, and yet they praise this poor performance by Mariah and pretend that it was excellent. a truly confusing lot.
