@@TyPigPatrol was releasing it really the right thing to do? It's a non native fish that has the potential to do serious damage to the ecosystem. You could have eaten it with a clean conscience.

Ive heard of them being around but never seen one myself!

I'm in north Texas near the Oklahoma state line and no one has ever seen one around here

Lake Ray Hubbard has red bellys.

Lake Granbury also. I have never caught one ,but evidently they are in there. Check out the water body records..

@@TyPigPatrol was a hectic moment, couldn't pull it ,so I tried breaking twigs to free it, but my line broke. The fish was still in the same spot , not moving, got a stick ,got him wiggled free. Spooled up with 6lb tonight going out in the morning
