RARE Otis Luxury Hydraulic United Elevator at Terminal B, George Bush IAH Airport in Houston, TX.

Video Recorded on May 26, 2024: Now this is DEFINITELY a rare find! I have actually seen this elevator at one point long time ago while I was at George Bush Intercontinental Airport, but never got to ride it until finally now. Few other people had also filmed this elevator as well, and I can’t believe I finally found this thing! Not very common do I find an Otis luxury hydraulic elevator. Installed in 1999.

That is certainly strange. It’s not the typical Luxury style panel inside. It’s just one of those series 2 panels but just luxury hall parts outside. They may have been replaced considering it has older Otis chimes.

Wow very nice Otis elevator, I normally don’t have anything bad to say about Otis elevators unlike some of the other brands, but them, certain Schindler’s, some Kone’s, most Mitsubishi’s and Fujitec’s, and some Thyssenkrupp elevators are really nice actually, otherwise Otis, Schindler, Fujitec, and Mitsubishi I mostly like, Kone is fine as long it doesn’t act strange and Thyssenkrupp I feel like is inconsistent some are nice and others not so much! 🤷🏻‍♂️

There’s a lot of elevators I am dying to film, most especially my favorite Schindler 330A at my local YMCA. Only problem is that I am not a member there anymore. However, I will still try to get on it next year (hopefully unnoticed) because it has one of the best sounding hydraulics I’ve ever heard from one of those. I haven’t filmed it since 2018 on my old tablet, so I need a retake badly. However, the motor, on the other hand, is decent, but it’s still very nice. I count my blessings and my prayers that I can film it next year with my camcorder 🙏🏽🤞🏽.

Usually Otis Luxury's are used on Traction's.

kinda remindful of Millenium Hotel Downtown New York which have Luxury fixtures with Series 1 chimes Really good install

Technically yes, but I don’t think I have seen any elevators barricaded off or anything like that, so I’m assuming they are just starting I suppose.

@@JimLiElevators Yes, it is starting slowly. Getting modded by a Generic company named Nouveau. I mean, it's New York, it's so overpopulated so what do u expect?

Speaking of that, they also have a contract at Penn Station! And you would not believe what I got. I actually got a couple of Otis Escalator comb plate pieces literally from Penn Station as they were actually replacing them. :D Not really sure if I want to get some certain parts from the Millennium Hilton as I already have an Otis luxury call station from the Palace Tower of Caesars Palace, but I am interested in getting some of the pieces from the wooden escalators at Macy’s Hareld Square as they are replacing them, but still got a long way to go (up until next year).
