Perfect timing with the series mate, my summer vacation just begun and im looking forward to enjoying the next 6 weeks with your Predecimal Penny hunt videos💪
The coin shown at 1:54 is the exact answer I showed to my friend after he suggested to me to, buy a dremmel-tool, put on a polishing-wheel and polish my dirty coins. But I did enjoy not only his reaction, but I also enjoyed the video. Big thumbs up from me.
love the dirty mug sound A good idea for the left over coins in the bucket you could also make a date run for those to for a GAW shame to just throw all those away
It’s me that plays ‘Penny Bingo’ Paul and I’d say it counts as a line Otherwise you’d need 7 on the right hand side and only 6 on the left. Awesome to find a 1953 so early on. Dropping the coins in Mackemmoolah’s mug could be an ASMR video all on its own 😂 Great stuff Coin Patrol 👍🏻
That glistening sound of an old penny dropping into Mackem’s mug, Lovely 1953. Thanks for the comment but It wasn’t me that was playing bingo, if it was then I’m losing it😂Great upload & to the next one
Hi Rich. I hunted through 3000 halfpennies and did a couple of videos, but compared to pennies there isn't much to look for. So I doubt if I'll do them again.
@@CoinPatrol Can you do a vid all about the Cartwheel Penny and Twopence...I think you would do a really good video about them....(I have a twopence and a really worn penny that I got when a child with my dad) and the place where we got them in Widnes in the late 60s told us that they used to chip bits off to nick the copper...dunno if it's true...but always wanted to know more about them. I'm always curious about the difference in the coloration of the coins. The veiled head victorian's are usually quite dark. 1920s are lighter. Different composition? Copper, bronze, alloys?
Yes, you're right Peter. The bronze coins are made from copper, tin and zinc and can also have small quantities of aluminum, manganese, nickel or zinc. The amounts of these would change over the years producing different colour alloys. I would love to know the"recipe" of a veiled head Victorian and a later George V penny because I don't know which particular metals produce the different colours.
What a great conditioned 1953 👍. Lots of older dated coins in this episode too. I've dropped the "Coins" now from my user name on YT. I just felt I needed to revert back to the original name 🤔
