Rare stuff on rails - OHE (OverHead Equipment) Inspection Cars at Thirupparankundram 

These O.H.E. (Overhead Equipment) Inspection Cars provide maintenance support for inspection and maintenance of the Overhead Electric lines and components of the Railway electric catenary system that powers the electric trains and locomotives of Indian Railways. These cars were sighted on the southern side of Madurai at Thirupparankundram station. While OHE unit SR-210008 is Madurai's own and works in and out of the Madurai area, the second unmarked unit in the clip was probably brought in for additional support during construction work. With extensive track doubling and expansion work ongoing on these lines, these cars were a lot easier to spot in this area than normal during the time in the February/March part of 2023 alongside other track maintenance equipment like the Unimat 08-275/3S track tamping machine that appears briefly in the clip at .
