A rare sight in the USA, an Airbus Helicopters H160, registered F-WHFF, taking off and landing at Trenton Mercer Airport. This video features two takeoffs and one landing, time stamps for each are included in the video. Enjoy some footage of this beautiful helicopter and the incredible sound it has. Footage filmed on 9/12/2023 and 9/14/2023.

Very nice catch, thank you for posting! The 160 still has to grow on me I guess. The combination of the shape and the paint job gives it the impression that it is still in the developmental phase.

I also thought it looked a little weird initially, now I like how it looks though. It really is an interesting looking helicopter!

F-WHFF is one of the Airbus flight test helicopters. First flight of this type was in 2015, EAA certified in 2020 It got full FAA certification in Jun of 2023. I think at this point instead of development they are working on sales/demos. I didn't like the look at first either - seemed odd. But the more I look at it the more it looks like a modern take on a Dauphin. Would love to see this thing in a coast guard livery, I think that would sell almost anyone HA!

@@LukeLewisit is a dauphin replacement, only slightly bigger with good crouise speed and without any hot&high performance.

To the right of the terminal is a small hill with a short fence, I just stand there.

Caught this one on FR24 a few days ago. Sadly, Trenton is a little too far from Newark Delaware :(

@@PrepareToTakeoff The only good birds in my area or transition thru the area are the state Police Bell 429, Bell 505, Ospreys from DC. Later this year, the local hospital is getting an H145D3
