Very nice rig, it's a little long for my taste but I don't live and work in O county. These new breed of "rescue" apparatus are taking it to the next level!! Thx.

That critter is very limited as to where it can go. Just getting out of the station with limited clearance and turning radius looked like a challenge. Street damage post earthquake or whatever else would render it stationary

It wound have been better if it was a little shorter and had a steerable rear axel like a Tiller.

@@just_arand0mplayer727 There are cities that have rescues mounted on the same trailer and tractor as a ladder truck. Even have tiller steered rear end. They just lack a ladder but have more compartments. I believe Portland Oregon has one. Definitely odd

@@CentralFloridaFire Guess it will leave its station without an alarm more than twice a year, right? So why are you fooling viewers with that "rare" in the title if there's no call? Random visitors do not know you normally write "responding" if you upload units on a run. Pretty disappointing though it's an interesting apparature.

Sounds like it has a bad air leak in one of the air bags or the leveling valve.
@NVConservative
@NVConservative 4 года назад
@Amed Tajan Ya they would, as long as the air compressor can build air faster than the air loss. Leveling valves leak all the time. You can hear it in the second part of the video where he's trying to pull out of the driveway.

I've seen ratings between 4 & 8 mpg depending if its a Navistar or Cummins engine and type of work load (city vs hwy, mountains vs flatland, light weight vs heavy weight). Average diesel will drink about a half gallon to a gallon an hour at idle or with high idle and PTO engaged upwards of 3 gallons an hour.

Animosity FL when they use the term tower for their trucks what do they mean?👍😁😎
@NVConservative
@NVConservative 4 года назад
Usually, a tower is a ladder truck, sometimes straight frame sometimes tiller steered. Aerial ladders I think are up to 110' extended out. Towers have the huge hydraulic ladder that lifts up and rotates and extends out and usually has a deck gun. Most don't have a water tank or a lot of hose. Engine/pumper/water tender (tanker) supplies the tower with water (usually).

Basement saver thinks he's driving a BIG truck! Couldn't hardly out of the drive way! LOL! Not to mention that it has an audible air leak (an out of service violation) and the hub cap is missing on the left rear drive axle. Makes me wonder, why do they waste tax payer money on aluminum wheels and chrome shit? Basement savers.
@CentralFloridaFire
@CentralFloridaFire 4 года назад
Gary Koeller 1st off Orange County doesnt have basements; so you can drop the Basement savers thing. 2ndly yes this truck did at that time have an air leak, at the time of this video the truck was training another TRT firefighter and an air leak wasnt the highest of their priorities. If you have soo much time on your hands to comment about a hub cap missing you need a hobby, other than talking shit about fire departments.
