I was there. I remember having my 2 young kids for the day and deciding on the Saturday morning to just drive up to Leeds. What a sight when we eventually arrived, never seen so many happy people all dancing together, met some great people that day and no trouble. My kids were 12 and 7 and to this day they still remember it like it was yesterday, every so often they say "remember when you took us to love parade dad". A day to remember that we'll never forget.

I was there. Leeds didn't know what hit it. There was clubbers everywhere all over the city. I don't think england will ever have anything like it again. I travelled from stoke to Sheffield on a bus then we caught a taxi with 4 other complete strangers to Leeds cuz all the trains were totally full. We did make history that day. I'll never forget it what an experience and it was all free.

omg!! i was here!! me n my mate got train from manchester n met friends up ther remember gettin a taxi to the park and groovejet was on the radio! i cant really remember much as was twisted but i know it was awsum!!! went out in leeds after it n the train station the next day was a sight ill never forget!! bodies all over the station floor all loved up after a great day n nite! never happened again!! shame coz it was brilliant n ive been to some raves in my time!! we will never get these days back! just sooo glad i was part of it!!!

I was there. No sleep from the night before at The Space nightclub in Leeds having seen Sasha and Darren Emmerson dj... then after the love parade, went back to the biggest house party of my life... with people djing on three floors and the front door open to anyone who cared to wander in. Wild.

Yes!! You can FEEL the energy from just watching this. What an awesome crowd that was. Great memories: - The HUGE snake-like Conga walking queue, right from the train station to the park. It double backed on itself, MANY times, because the silly people at the front kept getting lost and walking down dead ends and culdesacs. (No navigation apps back then 🤣) but no-one broke the conga. It was really funny. - the lift we got in the back of a builders transit van for £1 each. 30 odd people and complete strangers got in and sat on each other’s knees 😂 - Crasher kids on tour everywhere 👏🏼😍👍👍🦁 - Jude jules wife off her nut in a cowboy hat singing live - Sasha BLINDING end of set - people in the trees - goosebumps! Now I’d love to think this could one day be repeated... But we were so lucky to have experienced this - and that we actually remained in one piece to tell the tale. We were there. Historic. Legendary. Messy 🤩🤩🤩🤩 Now then, where did I leave that time machine...?

Wow this is class footage.ive spotted me, my ridiculously long hairstyle at 18yrs old and a couple of my mates on this vid lol.i can remember it like it was yesterday.we waited all day for him to come on, and he just bust this short but still sweet set out.still to this day its best event i've ever been to.

I remember this day like it was about 10 years ago - not 20!

I was there!! This is the radio 1 stage at the end of the night, Sarah Cox bouncing away in the corner IIRC. The place went up when yeke yeke came on. Then the end of the night and miles and miles of people all walking into Leeds from Roundhey. I was too young for the mass raves of the early 90s, I guess this is the closest I've ever come to it! Oh and no mobiles, all the networks went down as there were too many people in one spot!

I was there! Still one of the best festival atmospheres I’ve been too!

Take my money and take me back there what a time and place to be goose pimples one memory that will never leave those that was there that day and night did any one remember how packed the train into Leeds was

My last ever dance party this, after doing the acid house and rave scene in the 90s, i was shot to bits by the millennium, but this party had to be done, so we drove all the way from the fens in norfolk, stuck in leeds traffic for ages, but cant remember much after that, i remember the floats going by with sound systems and folk everywhere, even kids. I remember the mobile phones went down for hours pretty early in the afternoon if memory serves me right, and i remember hearing Azzido Da Bass Doomsnight a fair few times that day, but i was so off my face lol good times, never to be repeated again sadly.

I will never forget this weekend 🥰Got to be the best memory of my raving days. Although,we went to evolution afterwards and I got my keys nicked so I had to get a lift all the way back to Nottingham to get my spare key,to then get a lift back to Leeds to get my car then back again 🤦🏻‍♀️

The dance scene just isn't the same anymore, its really sad.

It's great to read people's stories from that monumental day. My overriding memory as I kept the camera rolling above my head was the enormity of the crowd around me. Pete Tong delivered his immortal line "I think YOU made some history today" it sent shivers down my spine then and still does to this day ..

Fair play to who got the footage of this as there isn’t hardly any of back then. But what days they were. Words can’t explain how good those rave days were and all the festivals nothing will come close. Would love some proper old school nights on but all the superclubs have. Truly amazing

Great day. My lasting memory is the complete state of leeds train station after it was all over and I could finally see straight again.

That was the night I brought the curtain down on my raving career... had to grow up! I was 25 and had so many sorted nights out..... good times 🙌

Memories, the trains, buses, the whole city was filled to the brim with clubbers off their tits. It won't ever happen again..It was absolutely mental in every sense.

This was one of the best days of my life. Watching everyone enter the park following the floats like they were the pied pipers. What an absolute buzz from start to finish.

Was that Judge Jules on the mic being the radio hypeman? 😂 Classic if it is. But yeah, pre-smart phone concerts hit differently. You were actually present and engaged with the music and audience because that was all there was to it! No selfies, no bullcrap. Just music and fun, and some drugs if you so desires :)

Started at 11am, finished @ early hours up wetherby road rugby training grounds doing doughnuts, everyone had a party going. MENTAL Gorgeous girl down Oakwood Clock parked up in a white R5 GTT.

I was there what a day/night. So many people everything couldn’t cope trains were full and leaving people behind on platforms as people were jumping off at stations for a toilet breaks. Leeds was well and truly swamped. Great times.
