Rargh! You need to put all that 250k exp into range and get the hp along with it and spend the 4 hours getting range exp and some more rune bolts, you could probably push 77 range and I think that would do a lot better for when you get the dragon bolts as a helm upgrade is pretty negligible, just my 2 cents. TEAM RARGH
Keep in mind he needs the xp to go into fletching to simply MAKE the dragonstone bolts. Not to mention the required 65 magic. But I do agree that it's not worth it for Rargh to keep doing Barrows. A melee helm is, what, 1 in 80ish? Probably worse? I would say get the fletching required and then put the rest into ranged. Might be worth putting it into crafting to cut dragonstones, but I doubt it.
how he gonna get dragon bolts then? Even putting 250k into fletching leaves him 150k shy of 71 fletch, not to mention he needs 68 magic. The only thing i can see is he puts this 250k into fletching and the next exp reward into fletching and spends the next couple of episodes training magic.
Or, if he were to put 500k exp into magic (2 losing xp rewards, so a worst case scenario) he would end up with 70 magic and if he did DT in the time limit he could have ice burst for the final fight to freeze link and hybrid with range and mage. He could save prayer while safe spotting which might win it alone given today's episode, or he could also go for smite in the time limit. Also potential for extra heals with blood burst
He could get the dragon bolts towards the very end, surely it's best to make sure to win the next one to get the head start on the extra exp reward and the use it on fletching/crafting, I just think majority of the time needs to be training range as that is the most guaranteed chance of winning as the bolts aren't going to be an option really before the next fight

Suggestions for rargh: Get runner boots from barbarian assault minigame Do family crest and get chaos gauntlets for +3 dmg on bolt spells to help with lava dragons Train so your able to create the bolts you want Suggestions to link: Get piety bro Get good rng Suggestion as a whole: Allow both people rune pouches Lvl 60 magic=God spells!!!
Rargh needs the defense stats more than range bonus because rune crossbow is already accurate enough and it's pretty slow. So a +3 range bonus with no defense stats is a waste
Link should put his xp into all the skills he needs for barrows gloves. He is pretty close to having all the stats he needs and barrows gloves are a massive upgrade.
Since piety is for free and augury and the range version cost money I would love to see them unlocked with money + the kings ransom quest completion to make it a bit more even prayers wise. For example: To unlock ranged prayer you need to pay 2m (remove 2m from bank) and finish kings ransom + training grounds. Or something similar to this. Would make it more interesting to see if he goes for that high prayer level or goes more basic. Thumbs up if you want to see this too.
How would he get 2m? Should just be able to transfer it from main once he gets the prayer for it, or make him do the piety quest but still get it for free
For the final fights, if it comes to a tie breaker, it should be done with both players starting at 0 prayer and/or no prayer pots allowed. Optionally restrict food as well. Kind of like a 'sudden death' of sorts.
I like the "sudden death" idea a lot and agree. They should think about doing something like this, although I'm not sure if 0 prayer is too overkill (although no pray pots makes sense).

@@dyzerio1 dragonstone amulet is level 80 craft which is nearly 2m exp. idk why he got excited about that crystal key, the dragonstone is useless to him because of crafting level reqs.
Seeing Link using almost entirely teas in the final fight has me rolling. Ever since he unlocked prayer pots first I've thought he had a "paladin" build, and these past few episodes he regenerated 5 HP every time he attacked.
You guys should continue this series even after it's over, see how far you guys can take the accounts. Would be fun to see late game strategies in this style challenge.

No mate, he clearly escaped the caves in that next clip by winning and killing Jad. He's just saving fcape for the final fight as a surprise and had to hide the clips from Rargh with a decent cover story.
While bringing 10 karambwans helps to tick eat, your average dps doesn't merit the extra time spent attacking instead of healing with just sharks or something. Bringing a max of maybe 4 would be more beneficial than half of an inventory
Agreed! Less karambwans Rargh! They don't heal as much and that extra 20+ hp would have made this a much closer fight since Rargh had 1-2 guthix rest left
should you both make an 8 hour timer (split into 2 days of recording) video of JUST your progression, and not let each other watch it until after the final fight? that way on the final progression days, both of you can progress and it would be completely hidden from your opponent, making the reveal more crazy?
Yarne Roosenbroeck 1.5k gp is NOT alot more. Thats like 3% of the price of the bracelet. Even if he alchs 10 bracelets (which he never will) thats only 15k. He also said he has no need for money so yeah
Hey Boys. I've got a little idea that you may like if you're feeling up to a slightly longer challenge. The title could be something along the lines of "We trained Hardcore Ironmen for a month...Then we fight". As the title suggests you could work on hardcore ironmen for a moth (give or take) and at the end of it you fight. The winner keeps their hardcore progress while the other dies and loses their Hardcore status!
As someone who got their first ever fire cape today on their 10th or so try, seeing Link’s joke about doing the fight caves with just melee with an inventory of egg potatoes and no prayer pots hurt me physically
Yo link, one of the reasons you had less prayer than you were expecting was the change of cape. Ardy Cloak has a +4 prayer bonus which you were missing
Yeah but tbh I dont think rargh is a good enough pker to reliably pull off the switches fast enough to catch Link off prayer lol. I'm saying this as a staunch team Rargh supporter, but like I'm envisioning him casting a lot of spells with the Versacs skirt on if he tried that
Just having the switch could do a lot of cool things. Would be sweet to fake a mage switch and land range hits off prayer. But since neither of them have any real KO potential it doesn't seem worth it to lose out on the food
I agree with Noah.. it’d be so easy for Rargh to catch a snare and far cast Link and bait into off-pray range hits when Link takes his armor off... but he’s not a good pker and that requires almost some skill lmao

Link! Read this, please! Watching both of them stop killing 2 of the brothers hurt me a little. Most people think as you do about barrows, but it’s just not right. You get a roll on the barrows drop table for every barrows brother you kill +1. When you kill all 6, you get 7 chances for an item each chest. When you only kill 4 brothers, you only get 5 rolls per chest. If you don’t kill all of them, you seriously hurt your chance for the items you want. I did the maths according to the equations on the wiki. Assuming there are 11 items you would be happy with (all the melee equipment except weapon and brassard). If you only kill 4 brothers, the drop rate is 1/63.4 chests for a 'good' item. If you kill all 6, it is 1/31.8 chests for an item you want. You can tell by looking at how many runes you were getting. You started getting 29% fewer runes after you stopped killing the last 2 brothers. (5 rolls of runes and coins vs 7)

After episode 30 why don’t you allow movement in the fins fight because then you would need mage because it would become more important because of snares/freezes?

Killing fewer brothers definitely decreases the chance for a slecific item, because you both get less rolls, and the chance is lowerered to roll the barrows drop table.
