I notice the longer this fragrance macerates, the better it gets. When I first purchased it.....I was not thrilled. 4 months later....I was blown away! Great review AC!
One of the most detailed reviews I've watched. Keep up the good work educating people like me. I've got a bottle yesterday and sprayed it on my forearm before I slept. Now it is barely a skin scent after 8 hours. I was expecting better longevity based on the online reviews. Anyway still a great quality scent.

Go this one couple of weeks ago. Love it. I kind of like the opening. :-) Another excellent review, thank you. I have a 2020 batch, so I can't compare the longevity to older ones, but the new juice seems to last a long time.

Hi AC, This fragrance is a love for me. I had a decant 3 years back, loved it and that 30ml lasted me long time. Super strong. I ended up buying a bottle last year, got aug,2020 batch, there is difference in smell, the latest one is amped on raspberry and performance sadly reduced. But its still amazing, but sadly its not the beast as it was.

Well said AC great review! This is absolutely amazing, one of my absolute favourites. It is worth every penny. Have you ever tried Tabacoo Blaze, by the same brand? It also gets great reviews and hype.

Also I'm curious about your strategy for storing your frags to prevent them from losing their potency from light and temperature fluxes, etc.

I love this review AC. I have had this fragrance for two years, and still I have yet to give it a full wearing. This is due mainly to the harsh opening you mentioned. I have to revisit it again. Thanks
I bought this for £30 from a attar shop when it first came out, my second bottle cost me £75. The shop owner tried to sell me 2 bottles for £50 back then as no one liked these kind of fragrance in the Bengali community. I kick myself for not buying the 2 bottles cause I love the dry down of this fragrance.
AC my Brother, love from Indore🌈 I love this fragrance, the outstanding leather fragrance but LaYuqawam Pour Homme 2020 batch is highly watered down, really disappointing. I purchased Sep 2020 batch from an authorised Rasasi outlet in Oman. However somebody advised me to keep it for a month or two in a cool place, the performance will be improved. Let’s see!
@@achalsaransingh thank you 🙏 I have a 2015 and a 2020 bottle and the 2020 is not lasting whatsoever. I’m hoping it just needs to sit out a little longer, but the bottle is now 90% alcohol, the 2015 one is 80% alcohol, meaning it has more fragrance in the 2015 batch :(
Let me know you’d recommend anything for a somewhat similar scent profile, but with more of a raspberry scent. Originally I chose this over Tom Ford for that exact reason. I hear Matt Blanc Individuel is good
@@ACSmellsGood 5 hours , about 1 and half of smooth projection with 6 sprays, I think they reformulated , because my sample from 2017 was a" beast "..I wrote them they said my bottle was a fake..😁 crazy , I will write my batch code when I will catch my bottle, I m out of town now.. greetings my friend, you are a REAL reviewer.
I’ve purchased this fragrance about a week ago 2021 on the box but I only smell leather and it’s really not a pleasant smelling fragrance do I have the wrong bottle what I’m I missing And I also bought OUD AL-Mubakhar because of your review and it’s awfully is there something I’m missing thanks in advance
Do you have got a take on the reformulations? It's hard to find any information on this but from what I've read the years 2019 and the batch August 2020 are mentioned vaguely in terms of performance and longevity.

I really enjoy whenever I spray it on my skin or in the air at first, but unfortunately every time I wear it, it gives me headache after a few hours & I can’t get rid of it without taking a shower. Poor me, can’t handle it even with 1 spray
@@chrisscentsillage5321 you're are right buddy. Got mixed up. Velvet oud by Lattafa is a decent clone of Tuscan leather. 5th of la yuqawam price. Can't complain about Rasasi quality as AC mentioned.
@@himanshujoshi2974 Yes sure bud, Rasasi frags are always good quality and performances and most of them are pocket friendly! I have 17 so far, great house indeed! Lattafa great one as well...
@@brahm967 it seems like every one I have smelled that was really heavy oud reminds me of fresh mulch for landscaping. I like the smell but I haven’t found anyone else that thinks it’s great other than heavy rose scented oud. I hate rose so I’m on the hunt for something strong oud but backed by something people pleasing as well. Only thing I have found is aoud1 that people like that’s oud but the oud is way in the back.
@@charleywaynehinkle6358 I can give you contact no., if you want, from where you would experience real oud without having those leathery top notes. These oud are naturally derived from wild oud trees grown in north eastern states of India. These ouds are known as artisanal oud. These ouds are in Attar form.

Ian, I am very happy to accept the partial responsibility in leading you down the hallowed path of being the best smelling taxi driver in Southport . I am a management consultant by trade my friend. I have done a couple of videos last year and will do some more very soon, just want it to start feeling like Spring though, its too cold at the moment.

It always amazes me how different noses and skins are. I absolutely adore TL (and Godolphin). However, I find the middle eastern clones off putting. LY quickly becomes raspberry syrup on my skin. It's flat. Colourless. It's like music without the bass, missing some of the mid-range as well. I sampled it, but it became cloying after minutes (too sweet, in a bad way... unlike some of Initio sweet scents in a good way). I had to wash it off. I've tested clones for many frags (TF's, Marly's etc.). Imho. they are all bad, except for one - Neroli Canvas. It is not Neroli Portofino, by all means. Like all clones, it's different and it lucks the magic factor of the OG (and I only buy FB when there's magic in it). However, I find it nice by its own accord. That's the only clone I didn't find off putting. I think people should buy decants instead of clones. If you're willing to part from 70$ for a bottle of LY, do yourself a favour and buy a 70$'s worth of TL decant (or Godolphin in this case). This way you'll have more magic in your life - and that's the reason of becoming a fraghead in the first place : magic.
