I run the konstakang Android 14 on the 8 GB version for the Google Play Games. It is a little bit of a plain to install the Google Play store but worth it. I used USB Image Tool 1.90 to create a backup image of the entire OS it works really well. I use Gparted in Linux to expand the partition if I am restoring the IMG file to a larger drive.
Nice showcase sir.. intrigued as to how you got Supermodel3 running... Have built it from the git here, and compiled successfully, but when running it errors out with 'Unable to create OpenGL context.... GLXBadFBConfig.' wondering if I need to rebuild SDL2 for pi5 or perhaps something else associated with frame buffer or mesa gl compatablity versions like when running Aethersx2 ? 🖖
Hi Egg, They change the code and its no longer compatible with the Pi 5. So you have to get an old version and compile that. github.com/trzy/Supermodel/commits/master/
@@IntriguingTech Thanks for the reply.. A few days back I found a version on git by 'Mechafatnick'. It's from a couple of years ago, but I've been able to get it to work here with ease. Just knocking up a little UI for linux to generate specific starter scripts for the roms... cheers
How did you get RetroPie for the Pi 5 as officially there isn't a release for this? Did you simply download and install the RetroPie for the Raspberry Pi 4 onto the Raspberry Pi 5?
Hey @andyj34, I normally compile the emulators myself on the OS one by one. But if you want a retro OS then recalbox has a pi 5 release.. www.recalbox.com/download/stable/rpi/rpi5_64/alternative/
I think its the version of emulator they are using. I havent tried it on Batocera, I compiled my own and used RetroArch. RetroArch can run it using MAME at near 100% speed.
@@IntriguingTechI’m new to your channel and I understand this is four months old but do you put roms onto the sd card with a computer or the pi itself?
@@chrisvlogs5774 Hi Chris. You can put them on a USB stick from your PC (PC is often faster so I prefer this method). Or use the network and mount the drive if you want.
