Does anyone know how to server a single ip client a custom time one hour earlier then the actual time? It was going to be used for iot devices so I don't have to go into the settings. Thanks
Nice ! Add a gps antenna on your RPi and make it the NTP server from the antenna and you’ll have your local own source of clock. Did it here and works like a charm.
Good info, because you can't trust those IP cams unless you audited the firmware on them and they can't get updates from the vendor anymore. Another trojan horse in the hardware area is certain suspiciously cheap smart clocks that use NTP to stay in sinc, your method would trap those too.
@@TallPaulTech that I'm a lazy bastard lying on my bed watching sh*t RU-vid. And a bit more about routing vlans and isolating services. Still does my head in. Using a vyatta based router and want to move away from it but man it is so much work as it's been kludged together over many years of spartan knowledge, guesswork, bad memory and sheer luck. Watching your stuff at least you explain it in a meaningful way by cutting away the distractions and demonstrating what it says on the video label. Always pick up some useful nuggets that make me open up a terminal and try and fix some past f*uckup. Thats all. BTW when are you going to start putting up f*uckwit thumbnails of you pulling faces? I always gravitate to those - not!
asking a daft question here with security cameras why do they seem to be so bad at night time capture with ir and the secondary stream ? ie not very smooth 25 frame video
@@TallPaulTech I posted one form android about 2-3 minutes ago - for the THIRD time - saw it appear on my laptop running brave on debian 11 - it appears and then is deleted a minute or so later. This has happened over and over and over here only on this channel. Are you being monitored or something?
@@TallPaulTech I had two independent text only ones deleted on another thread of yours, one an original message in the list and a second a reply mentioning a minor bug in a code snippet (I had copied the poster's code and used it but found a small bug). This is all innocuous tech stuff. I shut down fascistbook for their censorship of innocuous stuff too... I post comments on dozens of different channels (most are tech ones) and I've only had them go missing here and mainly from Android but exclusively.
yep I've had perhaps half a dozen disappear in this very thread on this post alone now - some dodgy shit going on in this channel I've not seen elsewhere, someone has it in for you TP
