hey steve, i've been reading up a lot on your battery board build. i saw that you had some set up for the pi2. considering the pi2 is fairly similar to the pi3, this board should work, correct? do you have any left, and if not, would you mind emailing me a schematic or a picture with labels of the pi2 board, so i can attempt to recreate it?. thank you
If you go to my web store the documentation I've posted for the battery board has the schematics for the circuit: stevesprojectpages.com/store/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/Battery-Board-Manual020115.pdf
+Heba Hassan The small LCD was from Adafruit (Pi TFT). Adafruit also sells the small wifi dongle. The little speaker and amplifier were from e-bay. The speaker was a replacement speaker from a cell phone (iPhone 5G). I had to 3d print the little megaphone. The amplifier can be found on e-bay if you search for 'PAM8403' - chip used on the board. The battery board was my own product.
I have a small batch made up that I plan to start selling in January. I still have to set up some kind of store or e-bay account. I will be selling them as a kit - without the battery. The main reason for not selling the battery is because it makes shipping more complicated. .
Cool. Will watch out for these. Understand about battery, tried to post something with battery pack before Christmas and what a nightmare it was. Look forward to getting one of these. Regard Brian G0WZB
Brian Burdis I'm working on getting a store site set up on my web page (stevesprojectpages.com). Hoped to get it running in January but have just started working at a new job and looks like it will be delayed a couple of weeks.
I closed the store so I'm not selling them as a business now - have been busy with a new job. I still have some kits built though. If you are interested I could post one on e-bay.
The battery board is good for about 1 Amp. So it should power a Pi3 - but it depends on how many other accessories you try to power from it. The schematic (in the manual) for the Pi is pretty close to the same as what I am using for the Pi2 board - though the layout is different. I still have some of the board kits. If you are still interested, send me an e-mail (sgyoshida@yahoo.com) and I can sell you one through e-bay or something.
