Rasputin Eldrazi, I love it. I may have to build it, but slightly meaner. At one time Rasputin was considered the best legend in Legends, which I contend is still the case, for reasons that you mentioned. Yet somehow people think ol’ Angus is the best.
Angus is only as good as the deck you build him meanwhile Rasputin at worst is a ritual like effect that can help you cheat out anything. I think Rasputin is the strongest I’ve seen and I don’t think anyone will be stronger from legends
Oracle Text: Legendary Creature - Human Wizard Rasputin Dreamweaver enters the battlefield with seven dream counters on it. Remove a dream counter from Rasputin: Add {C}. Remove a dream counter from Rasputin: Prevent the next 1 damage that would be dealt to Rasputin this turn. At the beginning of your upkeep, if Rasputin started the turn untapped, put a dream counter on it. Rasputin can’t have more than seven dream counters on it.
out of curiosity what are your thoughts on running mycosynth lattice in this? It just makes it so that colorless mana you produce from Rasputin can be used for "colored pips" as well!
@@reagansimpson6473 That’s actually not a bad idea but I wonder if the return on investment will be more then just running a Prismite or Urn of Godfire
@@manasplained that is very true, a 6 mana do nothing artifact is pretty weak, I just figured if you're flickering Rasputin you get a return on the 6 mana nearly right away or at least within a turn
Instant dislike once I saw the annihilator stuff - those were just a mistake and are unfun in my opinion. A shame you felt like you had to rely on those.
I get that and annihilator creatures are definitely a rule zero conversation for me. I have a Jhoira of the Ghitu deck with the budget annihilator creatures and I always ask before playing it if people are ok with annihilator. What are some other cards you'd replace them with in this deck?
