kind of racist to call it engrish, so the asian accent makes it hard to pronounce "R"s at least they're trying, they speak english better then english speaks japanese
@@GawrGurasBathTubPizza It's not racist. People need to stop throwing around that word around so much as it just diminishes its meaning. Also depending on how you're defining Japanese speakers speaking English better than English speakers speaking Japanese, it could be considered untrue. If what you're getting is that English speakers who learn Japanese are worse at pronouncing things correctly in Japanese than when a Japanese speaker learns English and pronounces things in English, then that is generally untrue. When an English speaker learns to speak Japanese, in general they usually have an easier time with things like correct pronunciation because English has more variety in different types of oral sounds so if they were to learn Japanese they don't really run into any kind of sound they haven't spoken before. The only exception to this is, funnily enough, the Japanese syllables RA(ら), RI(り), RU(る), RE(れ), and RO(ろ) (Can also be spelled as LA, LI, LU, LE, and LO in Romanji depending on who you ask). The reason these syllables can be hard for an English speaker is because these syllables make a sound that isn't really part of the English language. These syllables essentially make a sound that is somewhere between an L and an R sound generally. The reason this is kind of funny is that this pronunciation of these syllables is also the reason why Japanese speakers tend to have a hard time pronouncing hard L and R sounds for English words. But the while this is most likely going to be the only notable hang up for an English speaker learning pronunciation in Japanese, there are other things that the Japanese have a hard time pronouncing in English, such as a V sound or TH sound, because those kinds of sounds aren't part of the Japanese language in the first place. If instead what you were getting at with Japanese being better speakers of English than English speakers of Japanese is that there are more Japanese speakers that have a good understanding of English than there are English speakers that have a good understanding of Japanese, then I would agree with you on that. But that's only because English is taught to many Japanese students in school at a young age while atleast in the United States, Japanese is not language that is pushed onto students most of the time and schools only really start possibly teaching a student a second language in high school and the languages that are usually available are Spanish, German, and French, not Japanese. As for why saying Engrish isn't racist, it's simply because using it is not meant to demean the Japanese in any way, it's meant to differientiate the way Japanese and some other East Asian people pronounce things in English versus native English speakers, which there is a difference as you yourself pointed out in your comment. A large majority of people who use the word Engrish use in a way that is meant to be endearing because we know they're trying, which is great, and even though some of their pronunciation is off, it's charming in its own way. By the way sorry for the long reply. I just thought it would be better to explain exactly why I disagree with rather than just state my disagreement. I also don't know what stuff you know about the Japanese language, so if a lot of my comment is explaining stuff you already know, than once I again, sorry about that.
That won't work. Okayu doesn't catch Rats anymore, not since she's become a *_"Gentle Housecat":_* @ 2:26 from Mio & Okayu's Playthrough of Convenience Store ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-5XUp33V4v5c.html
I love her repeating what she hears in game with such confidence, it makes me smile 😂💕 Especially when she's caught. "NO NOTHING ! NOTHING RAT ! IMAGINATION RAT !"
Rats, we're rats, we're the rats, we prey at night, we stalk at night, we're the rats. I'm the giant rat that makes all of the rules, lets see what kind of trouble we can get ourselves into.
This is nice Korone's English is getting better every day it will be a matter of time before us western fans can communicate with our doggo overlord this now has me wanting to study Japanese to read and write Kanji as I just graduated Highschool translator san give me your blessing and knowledge to teach me please oh Great one.
You may want to grab the free Android app JED. It's really handy since denki jisho (jisho.org) is a pain on a phone. I got a lot of use out of that learning Japanese at uni. Kanji by radicals functions are a lifesaver.
When people tell me what's so amusing to watch an anime avatar, I'll show them this video. Also, it's good to see how far Korone is getting with her studies with English and her pronunciation is good for someone who barely understands it. Thanks for the translation and hard work!
2:01 Rat: Hoo? You're approaching me? Instead of running away, you're coming right to me? Human: i can't beat the shit out of you without getting closer. Rat: Hoho~ Then come as closer as you like
@@perrydgo Sadly, I can't find the exact clip I'm looking for, but I found one of them: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-IqJxZZP-eNo.html The timestamp is 1:17:05 I wrote down about 10 or so other cute timestamps from Okayu and Korone streams if you want me to tell you.
The NPCs look like something that come out from Oblivion, actually scratch that.. this is worse xD I want to ask why did they use bear trap instead of normal rat trap, oh well
The fact that Korone's trying to communicate with her English viewers as well is so endearing. I can't help but be drawn in and want to watch her more and more, on top of the fact that she's just so precious and fun to watch overall.
Yessss i was waiting for this! This was one of the best streams ever, gameplay was super fun and Korone being grateful with translators and all people that support her was precious!
What would you do if you see this rat in you house . Well , I would offer her to my cat , the rest is on her to charm it Lol With the amount of English she is getting , It is definitely easier for English folks to translate or watch Lol
This is so cute, funny, and entertaining. And so cool to see how she's progressing at English, it's almost unfathomable how fast she is improving. Thank you for compiling these clips snd translating them for us! ^_^
