LVD, you are always ramping up the production quality with things like the new color guide and spinning double-sided cards, one of many reasons why you're my person fav mtg content creator alongside the prof
I'm really happy you showcased this deck. I've been so obsessed with it. 188 (111-77) matches with it so far. It's fun in back and forth games. It's fun getting a quick win. It's fun to play it in simplified or complex board states. The amount of different types of combos and synergies and recovery potential makes this deck among my all time favorites overall and compared to other types of combo decks. Whether it's giant Nazguls or a giant Bartolomé del Presidio, or treating a card like Fleshtaker or Woe Strider as a tutor with infinite scry, or creating a million ring bearer enabler copies with Teysa or Mondrak*, or even playing a fair game of Aristocrats... it's been such a blast. *even if your opponent just casts Overwhelming Splendor + wrath the next turn LMAO
I haven’t missed an lvd video in years… but combo decks are always my least favorite. That’s not to say any of this is bad, just not what I enjoy the most
F-u-n? This deck is rather hard to interact with. Especially with so many ways to make the same/similar combo. Doesn’t really feel like singleton any more.
@@LegenVD that’s very true, I’m just tired of seeing atraxa poison all the time. I only get to play like an hour a day and there’s been times I played upwards of 5 straight games of just atraxa poison. It gets around most things now that there’s instants that just give poison, and they’ll just have to protect atraxa for 9 turns to win, often having handfuls of removal and counter spells, just wasting what little time I have because I can’t play the game. Just not fun to me. But you’re a stronger man than me clearly.
@@LegenVD I really thought they would lose because they would draw from an empty library before state based actions were checked and now I know that losing from drawing from an empty library is also a state based action. Definitely not a common way to end a game !
