As kid I thought it was one of the weakest, but it poisons AND makes enemies to your ALLIES what is absolutely control over the Battlefield 10:57 Behold, one of the most OP Weapons in the whole R&C Franchise (only for non-boss enemies). I always combine this with the mini bodyguard bots, protection shield & turrets for absolutely domination + for an whole little ally army. Also, infinte ammo.
Miniturrets have always been my favorite weapon, not just in this game but throughout the series in the various forms they appear in. Setting up a turret defense grid and letting it do all the work for you makes for a very satisfying show of enemies getting shreded by auto-lasers (and in some upgraded instances, missiles). Agents Of Doom in this game are a pretty close second, especially the upgraded variants that get laser guns, jetpacks, then ultimately rocket launchers. Similar reason for liking them as the turrets, except bodyguards that shoot/kamikaze anything that looks at you funny into the afterlife. Plasma whip is a close 3rd, especially once you get it to the V5 Quantum Whip. The sound it makes and that wave of death you send out with each regular attack that can chain hits with the whip itsels... *chefs kiss.* It actually took a long time for me to really appreciate this weapon, but it's definitely a go-to choice when I play now. Quack-O-Ray is another good one. You get to raise an army once again (seems to be a recurring theme here), this time of ducks which in upgraded versions drop egg bombs, and fully upgraded the first enemy you turn becomes a demonic super-duck. The best part: no ammo required! To round out my top 5 UYA weapons is the lava gun. Stupidly effective crowd control that stuns on contact, check. Can fire in short bursts to conserve ammo while still dishing out lethal damage when the additional spray after letting the trigger go is facotored in? Check. Upgrades into ice gun that freezes mofos solid and shatters them? Check check. As for most of the other weapons, I get some may be more useful than the ones listed here and I use them all the time, but these 5 are definitely the ones I have the most fun using playing this game.
When I was little, the main games I played were Ratchet and Clank 1, Up your Arsenal, Going Commando, Sly Cooper 2, Tak and the Power of JuJu, Ty the Tasmanian Tiger, and Kingdom Hearts. Seeing the old icons for the weapons, the old armor and thruster pack, and the lightsaber cheat brings me back. The funniest thing was playing the quark games and using cheats to put him in a tutu. It was fun going into the insomniac museum and driving some of the vehicles, I remember I didn't try hard enough to earn it, so I'd glitch into it. I forgot how, I think it's something like jumping off and gliding away from a grind rail, then landing on a building and jumping through the floor to go into the room with the teleporter to the insomniac museum. I don't remember which game it was though.
Regarding the thing about jumping off the grind rails to get to the insomniac museum - you're probably talking about Ratchet and Clank: Going Commando! Fantastic game and series :)
It always bothered how you could not get the omega ryno, i don't even think it would have been that op because there are some enemies in the end game that you can't one shot with it
My save glitched and now I cant even buy the mega versions of most weapons for whatever reason. Now I have to replay the whole game twice and level up each gun for the second time.....
I watched this so I know what weapons I should skip. ... For me that's the n60 storm (outclassed by the suck cannon), plazma whip(redundent melle weapon), spiting hydra(outclassed by the shotgun and plazma coil), barrier sheild(outclaased by bubble sheild), lava gun (not as fun as people claim imo) and maybe even the RYNO3 V5 (pitifull range)
It caps at 5, then when you beat the game, you can choose to start a new game in Challenger Mode. Then, they sell an upgraded version of each gun for a couple of hundred thousand each that maxes out at V8
