+Paul S Was she ever officially stated to be a Lombax though? I feel like Insomniac just made her look a bit like Ratchet without thinking too hard about the background of these characters.
Xackadee To be fair, it was also the second game. The whole "Lombaxes are extinct" thing didn't come up until at least 3 games later, when the Future series started. Notice how the fact that she's a Lombax NEVER comes up in GC, as if it's not supposed to be a big deal. I have the feeling that the "Ratchet is basically Kal-El" thing wasn't an idea until much later.
+Xackadee A voice clip hidden in the R&C UYA Beta suggested that Angela was a Lombax. Of course this was removed and never used in the final game. A Crack in Time officially confirmed that Angela was a Lombax (you can hear it on Pirate Radio in the game)
madmarsrocks2012 Yeah, I looked up and found that out after that comment. I've got to wonder if she'll be in the reboot chronology at all, since Going Commando was practically a filler story and Angela herself was kind of a filler character.
@@APinchofBazel you got it reverse, because its more like dreamworks and dream was made by a disney member that wanted money and power tools looks more like a crack in time that never existed and rift apart looks nothing like pixar, but dreamworks
"This is a zombie-death-beam, that'll WIPE OUT ALL LIFE IN THE GALAXY!" "THEN WHY ARE YOU TRYING TO PUT BATTERIES IN IT YA DARNED FOOL!" God I love those two :3
26:01 Best moment Ratchet: Did you call us here for a reason, or are you just trying to get us killed? Qwark: Can't it be both? Ratchet and Clank: [angrily growl at Qwark]
I believe Qwark is not a super hero/ hero after all he was a coward never was a hero at all also that no way that Qwark become president even a idiot doesn't know how to become a leader
44:30 Ratchet looking worried and unsure, glances at Clank who gives the compassionate but also unsure look... Then he looks at Talwyn. And there is completly nothing. She is litterally dead inside. It makes me laugh so hard as it's suppose to be dramatic or something xD
@@trevargrisham35 We got a male with eyeliner instead, just a variation of Ratchet's body with a different head, lazy. I like Talwyn more as a playable character.
I'm surprised that they didn't bring Tachyon back in Rift Apart. He's probably in another dimension now. It would have been cool to see him and Nefarious team up.
I want Emperor Nefarious to return, he was fun, and i can watch the scenes with both Doctor and Emperor Nefarious for a long time, hilarious, enjoyable, and I don’t want Emperor Nefarious to just be a one game character
@@JH24821 according to a friend I chat with the comic series based on this game series and Tachyon is back in that but, I have yet to read the comics because I don't know where to find them
@@richardthang5266 shame that they partly retconned the comics which stated that it was interdimensional comet fragments that powered the dimensionator, now thats phaze quartz which makes no sense. Tachyon wasn't brought back because the devs couldn't be bothered to make a compelling story, instead we got a glorified powerpoint presentation, I mean come on now!, we waited 14 years since Tools of Destruction to travel to another dimension, and low and behold its the exact same as the one we left behind, with color swaps, and nothing interesting about it. They could have done an alternative timeline where the Lombaxes won, but still got massacred and Rivet was Azimuth's daughter, but no that would require actual effort and talent. instead we see cringe humor and woke politics shoved into here.
The plumber is one of the most mysterious characters in this game. He seems to be everywhere he's least likely to be. (spoilers to crack in time) Seems to know events before they happen and a good example is in crack in time when the plumber was in Clank's mindscape and foreshadowed what Clank would need to do during the final battle.
Ratchet and clank are well aware of this. In all 4 one game, when he finishes the platform to take them to uzo city, ratchet asks him if he can share him a secret to defeat dr nevo. But tells him he dosnt have anything to beat him. Winking at him for good luck,. Later in the game nevo wasnt the main villan, but the pet itself the whole time. Revealing he didnt know anything about nevo because he wasnt the threat.
@richardthang5266 honestly I never really watched TMNT I watched stuff like Danny phantom and fairly odd parents on nickelodeon and teen titans, hero 101 or something like that, johny test and bakugan gandalion invaders I have not watched any of the other bakugans
To be honest with you, according to the wiki they couldn't sing to begin with. The melodies they sang were off-key. Also, because Pierre didn't sing, there was no high end to balance out the low ends in Rift Apart.
@@nu-agegamer3548 because Rift Apart is nothing but a glorified powerpoint presentation, the pirates in that game served no purpose unlike here where they carried the plot.
@@nu-agegamer3548 Rift Apart is a powerpoint presentation, did you watch the trailers, they acted so smug about "did I mention how beautiful our graphics are" thats an actual quote meant to appeal to investors, which warrants a "no shit sherlock" response, they also lied about the game being built from the ground up, when in reality it was the engine, as the character models were all reused from older games, like seriously look at Ratchet and Clank themselves, you seriously going to look me in the eye and tell me that was brand new, yeah right get out of here. the plot was awful, it makes no sense for it to even happen in the way it does, why would clank, the smart guy instead of just fix the dimensionator and give it to Ratchet in private, decide to put it on full display in front of what is no doubt a broadcasted parade for anyone to take, it completely nullifies the ending to Into the Nexus where Clank does ask Ratchet if he were to use the thing, Ratchet tells Clank he made his decision to stay here, partly due to his relationship with Talwyn, and his lifelong pal. Rift Apart makes that ending meaningless. Rivet is nothing more than a cringe feminist rule34 copypaste of Ratchet, nothing is special about her other than, oh her arm got blown off but in the end it isn't really a big deal and it only exists to push a mental health narrative, but the narrative was nonsense, telling you that your broken and should accept it, no the message should be to fix your problems, they brought us to a new dimension, something we waited 14 years since Tools to do, but low and behold its the exact same as the one we left behind. I hate Rift Apart because it is lazy, predictable, cringe, but of all it is a missed opportunity. Am I saying you are wrong for liking the game, no thats your opinion, and I respect that. I just wanted to point out that the pirates in Rift were only there because of fan service, rather than being integral to the plot like they were in Tools.
@@trevargrisham35 To be frank, I don't have time to read the words of Shakespeare as to why you think Rift is shit. Your opinions are your opinions! I hated 2016 but loved Rift. You hate both. I don't care, like what you like.
Crucillus Thorn Other than not keeping his VA consistant with the PS2 series (though the new one does do a good job) and making him a plot tool who gives the duo cryptic advice making him somewhat of an enigma, nothing.
You'd think that the scientists that built doors and map devices that only open to a Lombax's touch, would apply the same technology to their ultimate superweapon. Also, I love random Princess Bride references. Dread Pirate Ratchet, lol.
@@lagopusvulpuz1571 like how Azimuth talks about the great war or Polaris Civil War as I call it, as if he was alive during the time, which contradicts Iris saying the war happened millennia prior to the events of the games.
Angela Cross was in another galaxy and she escaped with Talwyn's dad, Max Apogee. She's likely in another dimension with the Lombaxes. Alister was in exile. That could explain why Tachyon didn't know about him.
True Pride It depends on game of course. The new R&C reboot game removed the "look the plumber's crack" joke for example, and it really sucks that they removed it. But we just have to see where the world goes.
Travis Touchdown She's mentioned in a radio broadcast in A Crack in Time. The news reporters talk about her location being unknown and the fact that she has no tail (the female reporter confirms that female lombaxes don't have tails).
4:27-4:40 Ratchet: Cryosleep? Nah, there's no way I'm gonna... Zzzzzzzz.... Clank: It is fortunate cryosleep does not work on robots. Hehehehehe... (bonk) Clank: Zzzzzzzzzzzz...
Look at this franchise, very innovative than ever before. If only my favorite Sonic the Hedgehog would try to enhance it's own series, instead of keeping it afloat.
Tachyon: Does your life lack a sense of purpose? Me: no Tachyon: Do you constantly worry of finding steady income? Me: No Tachyon: Do you like killing stuff? Me: Where do I sign?
Never really thought of it, but Tachyon reminds me of Frieza. Self-proclaimed emperor of the universe, slaughtered many races, thinks he's above everyone else.
So this is what the cutscenes sound like without the double double audio👍thanks for uploading the cutscene Bobert and May you're videogame cutscenes be glitch free if mine are glitchy Roadhouse
I wish I've born a lot before (I've been born in 2007,I'm 13 now,so when the final game of ratchet and clank before the reboot came out I didn't even know what was a console) and discovered ratchet and clank earlier,my first game and with the one that I discovered the saga was the reboot of the first game for ps4. I really liked it and now I only want the ps5 for rift apart and the incoming fnaf security breach
Hey, you could ask your parents to set up the PlayStation Now subscription for you for a month or so. There are 4 or 5 PS3 Ratchet games on there that you can play on your PS4 if your internet connection is decent. But make sure to let them know to cancel the ps now when you are done playing. If you play through all them in 1-2 months it will be cheap in comparison to the fun :)
Ratchet got one look at Aphelion and instantly wanted to repair her as if he could sense that she was very important and it's proven true throughout of the games
I played the demo for this game and I fell in love with it :) The fun gameplay, the humour, beautiful graphics, good soundtrack. Now I really want it plus A Crack in Time and the upcoming Into the Nexus. BTW, if you wonder I can tell you I haven't played any R&C game before.
So...let me get this straight. Ratchet was embarrassed about inventing something called "The Anti-Matter Bathroom Buddy" but not "Stunderwear"? Makes me wonder what goes on in his head most of the time.
I love this game but I hate how Ratchet argues with Clank about the Zoni thinking he is going crazy. Even though the both fought someone who can turn anyone onto a robot at will.
they wanted to try their hand at redoing the plot from the first game again but unlike in the first game where both character had justifications for their arguments, its more one-sided here, granted its much better than having none of that like in the reboot or Rift Apart.
To be fair, the Zoni had been unlike absolutely anything Ratchet or Clank had ever seen. The prior games were all sci-fi, sure, but none of them were about nor did they feature cosmic entities and stuff like that. Ratchet and Clank had only ever seen highly flawed and malicious individuals exploiting a certain business and such in order to profit from it. So, I can understand why when Clank mentions that he’s been in contact with creatures capable of bending space and time, that Ratchet is rather skeptical with him at first. I sure as hell would be.
I remember playing this tons at my local Wal-Mart years ago. But the volume was so low, I couldn't understand what Ratchet and Clank were saying in the opening cutscene. Nevertheless, I ended up loving the game, but wouldn't play a R&C game until the 2016 remake, followed by Rift Apart.
To this day, this game still looks amazing. I got my PS2 the year this game came out and I got Ratchet and Clank 2 on it. But I didn't care that there were newer versions out there, I absolutely loved the first 3 games. I finally got my PS3 in 2011 though and played Tools of Destruction. I have to say though that I enjoyed the older ones more.
This game was so awesome! I loved playing every single minute of it! :D P.S: Is it just me, or does Captain Slag sound so much like Hagrid from the Harry Potter movies? 11:28
My first Ratchet and Clank games... The future series, this was my first one. And this was one of my first games EVER! And probably the most fun one...
I just played this game for the first time last week. My family finally got a PS3 and I HAD to continue the series! Ah, the laughs I get from this game series. I can't wait to play the rest of them!
And this game starts the whole retcon of lombax's. It's not a big deal, but a game that does try to hold its canon from main series to main series, it always irked me that they say Ratchet NEVER saw another lombax, even though from RaC2 and 3 there were lombaxes.
@@hwanniggles187Yeah, apparently Angela was with Max Apogee on Jasindu where they used the dimensionator to escape to the Lombax Dimension. So Tachyon’s claim of Ratchet being the “last lombax in the universe” is technically true (excluding Azimuth, but he was in exile and no-one knew of his existence at that point).
