Sorry for answering so late, Ratchet's birth name was supposed to be in ACiT, but Insomniac decided that revealing the truth would change the way people look at Ratchet. Because of that, Insomniac decided not to tell his birth name after all. The Insomniac employees most likely know it though.
As it was said Ratchet doesn't really want to go back to see the Lombaxs as he says ' ''There was a time I would have said yes but theres more for me here than over there.'' But there is still a chance that there is a piece of technology that could come useful for Ratchet and Clank's next Adventures.
True. Maybe he could end up there on accident? Or yeah, maybe they would need something from that dimension! Maybe the Lombaxes might be in danger, that might convince Ratchet to head over there, how would he know they're in trouble? It's up to the devs :P
"Why raise a cragmite." If I had to guess it would be more of a guilt thing more than anything. I mean the Lombaxes essentially caused the Cragmites to go extinct, and therefor probably saw this as a way to right their wrongs.
Dr.M was connor's friend but then turned bad then died Alister was Ratchets dads friend then turned bad then died. Ratchet defeated alister, sly defeated Dr.M. sly: a hero who saves the world from time to time, Rachet:a hero who saves the galaxy from time to time. Sly has Bentley the brains and Murray the brawn, Ratchet has Clank the smart one and i guess you could say Qwark is the brawn plus he is stupid like Murray. Both series are more similar than you think.

Maybe they could make a sequel to the Future series where the story left off, and half of the game would be consisted of flashbacks to the past where you play as Kaden. But those flashbacks wouldn't be just some minigame in the middle of cutscenes, but a full fledged main gameplay with character progression and weapons to buy and stuff. It would be like in Crank in Time where the two playable characters play separately for most of the game. (Or Halo 2 for comparison with a game from different franchise.) Here the two characters would not just play separately, but they would be in their own respective timelines. That way, we could learn what happened to Ratchet and his search for Lombaxes after Nexus, while at the same time we could see the past events that brought all of this about. After all, the fate of the Lombaxes in our current time was decided by what happened in the past with Kaden, so it would make perfect sense to see both parts in one game. And it would be a great opportunity to see that story develop for Kaden too, as I doubt they would make a separate game just for Kaden (wouldn't really be much marketable if "Ratchet and Clank" wasn't in the title, and if it was and Ratchet wasn't playable, it would feel like cheating). And who knows, if Kaden doesn't die in the past flashbacks, there could be a time skip for Kaden at the end of his solo playthrough, and then he would finally meet Ratchet in the present time. Maybe there could be some gameplay even after that point where you choose your character. Maybe up to that point Ratchet and Kaden would have their own weapons and equipment, and after they meet, they could freely exchange them during the rest of the game. And it would be an easy excuse to recycle levels and assets, making you play through them in the past and then in the present. There could be some gameplay elements attached to it too. Like combining the weapons and gadgets, or Kaden setting some changes to the levels in the past, and then Ratchet being able to encounter those changes in the future either in his solo gameplay, or after they met.
I feel like because the Lombaxes were a technologically skilled race, they were always building things and they would always carry a wrench with them. So eventually they just got use to having a wrench as their handy all purpose tool for any circumstances. As such they created giant wrenches that can be used as a handy tool and a weapon. The Omni-Wrenches were created and Kaden left one he made for Ratchet before he left I bet. Ratchet actually was laughing at how the Dimensionator was a hat and how his kind made weird things until Clank said he's the same. I mean remember that Gravimetric Warp Drive he made out of Blargian Scrap Medal? Nav unit he has as a belt and that jet cycle in the beginning of Tools of Destruction that sadly broke down too soon. Then of course we learned from Clank Ratchet invented some weirder things like Stunderwear a Nuclear bathroom buddy and of course Rocket Sled. Yeah whether you grew up with your own kind or not. It seems all Lombaxes have some level of knack for mechanical tinkering.
Maybe within latter Ratchet & Clank games or movie. We would learn more about who Ratchet really is and the other Lombaxes. Maybe we get to go into the dimension where the other Lombaxes are within a latter game or movie
Ratchet kind of reminds me of Superman... They were both sent to another planet to be safe and neither of them knew their actual names (until Superman found out). Great video by the way! :P
+VTNVIVI it's like how Sly Cooper reminds me of Batman, their parents were lost to crime. Sly's family were considered criminals but not the point, they both (Sly and batman) stop true crime whilst breaking the law themselves. I feel that one day there'll be a justice league type of story between Ratchet, Jak and Sly :)

I think that Ratchet and Clank A Crack in Time was the best Ratchet and Clank game in the series so far, yet a Rift Apart that's coming is the only non innuendo title other than Ratchet and Clank HD reimaging.
Apparently, in the movie and ps4 games timeline, the blarg were ALSO responsible for the lombaxes to be extinct. ratchetandclank.fandom.com/wiki/Lombax#Behind_the_scenes now since I haven't played the ps4 game, (and because NOBODY made vids about all the lines in game) I don't know if its true or not, but if it is, then it proves that the movie and ps4 game is NOT in the same universe as the ps3 games!... if those people that think existed that is, but whatever.
I love how Lombaxes couldn't defeat Tachyon yet Ratchet did on his own. Alister azimuth I hated in honesty. Ratchet asked about his family and heritage and stuff and Azimuth didn't want to tell him anything. He was asking Ratchet for help yet he wasn't willing to give him anything back.

VTNVIVI I didn’t say anything. I just said that I hoped he would be alive, but I do have an idea. Tachyon so called “destroyed” Kaden when he shot down his ship and Tachyon thought he was dead. But it turns out Kaden survived and now he’s been living under the radar to avoid Tachyon until he found out a certain Lombax killed him, and now he’s looking for Ratchet to find out if that’s his long lost son, and throughout the rest of the game, Ratchet battles his enemies with his dad at his side. The biggest thing that matters to me is to keep Kaden alive for good because I want Ratchet to have a happy ending and I already got mad when they killed Alister and I will have a rage fit if they kill off Kaden. I like your videos on these because it makes me hope more that Kaiden’s alive in the series and I hope he actually appears I the games. Also, thanks for replying to me, I would’ve never expected to be replied by a RU-vidr.
I think they should bring the story to an end with 2 or 3 new games trilogy about Angela and the lombaxes where did they go and is Ratchets father maybe alive? I hope they do it that way!
Either way sure maybe they'll find the real Lombax secret but they CANNOT change ratchets name if they do then they have to change the title for the future games like for example, Harry and clank? What?? That would confuse many people.
I don't think knowing Ratchet's Lombax name would mean the title has to change. By this logic the series should have been called "Ratchet & XJ-0461" from ACiT onward. The Jak and Daxter series weren't named "Mar & Daxter" after Jak 3. I still wish we could know, I know it probably won't make a difference and maybe it doesn't even matter to Ratchet anymore but still I'd pay 10,000,000 bolts to know! Maybe one day...
They might reveal his real name one day. If he meets the Lombaxes one day, one might call him by his real name, but it doesn't mean they'd have to change his actual one.
Ok ok you guys convinced me that they can find his real name and all you guys have a very good point, it's just that I doubt where getting another future game for a while because of the re-imagining for ps4 and the way it ended the future series would probably be delayed.
I always hated that they changed the original backstory of the Lombaxes. They were these simple but hardworking critters from the planet Veldin (you can in fact see buildings inspired by Lombax wars in the first and third games). What made them awesome was that they were the average joes of the universe. Then they introduced this nonsense of Ratchet's "Superman" origin in "Tools of Destruction", the Lombaxes were now a mysterious super advanced species full of geniuses who loved wrenches. Seriously, how dumb is that? Ratchet wasn't alone, otherwise he would have reacted quite differently when he met Angela in "Going Commando".

Maybe Angela cross met mex apoge and he used iT to open a gate way to the lombax demension so Angela could be with her kind but i also think that the story line from tools of destruction and after are diffrent from the story line from the first couple games so Angela would never know about Rachet. Hmm, at the end of Into The Nexus we did the see the Dimensionator break, maybe ratchet tries to fix it in the future, and says like "how did the lombaxes..." and as he says lombaxes the dimensionator opens a portal to the lombaxes and ratchet is sucked in with the dimensionator still on the other side. Since the dimensionator was part broken, clank who was still on the other side cant fix it. Ratchet probably goes through a transition where he sees everything in the lombax city and finds new friends who he likes and starts getting along, he might basically start sort of a new life. Then somehow clank and talwyn and maybe some other people eventually somehow get to that dimension. And ratchet is torn on whether to go back, or stay with the lombaxes. Maybe then ratchet decides to stay in the lombax dimension, some new evil pops up in the original dimension and threatens the existence of all. Ratchet realises his mistakes apologieses to clank and saves the all the universes and dimensions. That would be one epic game... :D
A few months ago Ive once ask Insomniac if they ever gonna bring Rachet Gladiator (Deadlock) to the ps4 and they said its up to Sony....Im still waiting Sony >:(
I really, really want to know Ratchet's true name! What I wouldn't give to know... Also, in the comics Issue #3 Zogg says the Lombaxes used shards of the Surinox Comet to build their Dimensionators (yes, plural). So, are there more than one Dimensionator hidden in Polaris or even beyond? Though Alister says "There are no more Dimensionators" while Ratchet was fighting him in the Orvus Chamber but yet, is it possible that Ratchet will find a funtional one in future games and attempt to find his race? About the tail thing those new reporters thought that all female lombaxes didn't have tails because Angela doesn't have one, yet Rivet who's also female does.

True, it was stated by Azimuth that there are nor more dimensionators left. Maybe Kaden was the keeper of the very first one, the original. Tachyon mentioned the keeper and his son in the court of Azimuth, that could further prove that Kaden was actually the keeper, well at least the original.

As a fan, I'd definitely prefer the team to continue the classic games or at least finish the classic universe. Sure, Into the Nexus didn't have a cliffhanger, but there's a lot of stuff they can still work with. From Insomniac's perspective, they have two choices: make a sequel to the PS4 game thus making it less confusing for newcomers, or continue from ITN and make old fans happy. To answer your question, if I had the opportunity, I'd continue the classic universe and contact Sony for a PS4 Future Saga Collection (make it easier for newcomers). Afterall, the PS4 game is simply based off the movie. Sasha is a Cazar, not a Lombax. As for talking about Sasha, I had planned it a while ago, just got to work on it :) When will it be up, I don't know :P
Why not just send the dimensionator with you? Pretty self explanatory, you could've avoided all this bullshit and lived in your dimension, leaving Azamuth behind.

OMG Great video! I actually learned something today! XD You have a very good point about Kaden's reasonings. I also agree about the Crack in Time's story telling. It's simply mind-blowing and I believe if they kept this story, it could have made a great and interesting movie. Not only for younger audiences. I'm also impressed about your editing skills. I feel like they're getting better. I can tell you really put a lot of effort into this video. Keep it up!

Some people believe Azimuth to be Ratchet's true father. I can see why, because before meeting him Ratchet was lead on the idea that his father was the only one to stay behind when the Lombaxes evacuated to another dimension to ensure the Dimensionator didn't fall into the wrong hands. Azimuth for supplying Tachyon with Lombax technology against the their wishes was exiled from joining them in another dimension. Kaden also refused to join them to be by his wife's side was too late to save her, Azimuth claimed he had no clue of how long Kaden survived before Tachyon caught up with him, except he was to blame. Think about it, if Azimuth and Kaden were the only two Lombaxes along with Kaden's wife, wouldn't Azimuth at the very least offer some support to Kaden to find his wife and stop Tachyon? Azimuth most likely was too late to help but you would think the head of the Lombax Praetorian Guards would have what it would take.
I also wondered why Azimuth wasn't there to help. Surely he knew what was going on. Ok he was exiled, but they were childhood friends, he should've been there. Like you said, maybe it was too late.

He decided to protect the dimensionator, at least after discovering his wife died. But... I do wonder why he didn't just take Ratchet with him to the other dimension knowing that you can take the dimensionator with you...clearly Tachyon had the dimensionator on him when facing him in another space.

Fixman questions and somebody said "Do you know what happened to Ratchet's mother?" and T.J. Fixman answered back with this [T.J: Yes, I know what happened to her. And Kaden! But I never got a chance to tell those stories. So I have to keep it a secret in case Insomniac (or whoever) decides to tackle that plot.] what if Ratchet's parents survived somehow! He did say he never got a chance to tell the story of Ratchet's parents and he also keeping it a secret.
