I looove Althaïr! I wore it during work and someone asked me about it and bought it on the spot! Beautiful bourbon vanilla, cinnamon and orange blossom!
Haltane is my signature scent and I own Carlisle, Layton, Sedley, and Galloway. Love them all but Galloway has been my go to for the past 6 months. It smells amazing whether it’s cool outside or 100 degrees with 50% humidity. It’s so unique - fresh, spicy, and alluring. I don’t believe there is another fragrance out there that smells like Galloway. The PDM rep at the Nordstrom in Dallas gave me a sample of LE and recommended I layer with Galloway. The iris, orange blossom, and musk blends so well with the geranium, oud, vanilla, coffee, and patchouli. Its magical. My wife loves the combination.
I have 10 PDM. Every one of them is top notch!!! If I’m going fresh? Greenley, or Perseus. Colder months? I’m rotating Oajon, Herod, Carlisle, Haltane, Habdan, Layton, & Althair. I have Percival, & honestly that is the last PDM I reach for when deciding which to wear. PDM has to be 1 of the best houses in the game.
@@eddiecontreras7766. Herod is amazing if you want a sweet, tobacco fragrance. Carlisle is awesome too. You can’t go wrong with Oajon either. Althair is the best vanilla scent out there. Haltane is an awesome Oud blend.
I've never had an issue with Sedley's performance. In fact, it's the only PDM I've received compliments for. I didn't think it was very noticeable, but apparently, it leaves a strong trail that other people will smell.
Spot on take on this house. Especially Carlisle. I personally Love it. But it’s definitely not a compliment grabber. Yet it is always ranked highly. Just snatched Hartnell by FW. Damn that stuff is Good.

I just bought the PDM masculine sample pack a few weeks ago, and got a sample of Perseus this past weekend from my friend who works at Nordstrom. I love Haltane, but I hate the high pricetag. I've bought two fragrances that were that expensive so far, Louis Vuitton Ombre Nomade and Nuit de Feu. I also love Perseus so far. I'm seriously considering using my $50 off coupon for a 75 ml bottle of that. Layton is really growing on me too; I got a sample of that from PDM. I got Althair, Layton Exclusif, Haltane, Greenley, Percival, Layton, Carlisle, Pegasus, and Herod samples from PDM, and Perseus from Nordstrom. I like Greenley a lot, but I already have Louis Vuitton Pacific Chill, and I like Haltane a lot, but I already have LV Ombre Nomade and Nuit de Feu. Perseus has really caught my attention, though. I've sprayed it on my left hand, the past few days, and I just can't stop smelling it! I don't know if it's the ambergris or what, but I love the grapefruit scent top note and the base scent. I just ordered Azzaro The Most Wanted Parfum from Amazon; it's on sale for just $87.50 for the 100 ml for Prime day today! I was really hoping to get a big bottle of that before it got cold again. I already had a sample and a 10 ml bottle, and knew that I love that fragrance. I'm still pretty excited about that. I was going to order a small bottle of Grand Soir, and a sample set from Maison Francis Kurkdjian, because I have a sample of Grand Soir and I LOVE it, but I might wait. I saw the huge 200 ml bottle of Grand Soir on sale on Amazon too, for like $395.
Probably my favorite niche fragrance house! From what I have: Layton Carlisle Haltane Althair Darley Herod Layton Exlusif Oajan Percival Sedley I don't have these but have smelled: I would put Greenly under Sedly Godolphin last Pegasus and Pegasus exclusif right before Godolphin.
Brilliant review... Have Haltane, Althair & Perseus and really enjoy them all. Perseus is being overlooked by the majority of people, great performance for a citrus Freshie and smells *Fantastic*
In my experience, Herod is loved by a lot of women and it seems their appreciation for it is because it’s a great scent that is amazing in close quarters. When you’re close and intimate, they don’t really want “beast mode” that overwhelms them. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard raving compliments about it. Especially in those kinds of circumstances. Also, I’m surprised to hear your experience with Greenley. That fragrance is long lasting and strong whenever I wear it. Greenley is not the top PDM that I own (I agree with you on Layton and Althair) but I find it is a good/unique (and long lasting) fragrance.
gotta say, bought a new batch of herod from 2023. And by god they fixed it, it's a monstrous fragrance imo and i kept smelling it off my wrist throughout the day, and would often time still find it on my wrists after going to bed.
Old batches of Kalan were amazing. The opening was harsh but the in the dry down it got euphoric. It used to last long also. But sadly they have ruined it.
I get good longevity out of herod but projection is tame compared to the rest of the lineup, but that’s alright to me not everything needs to be beast mode
My tops gourmounkt PDM are: Layton, Atlhair (love the bergamot vanilla dry down, Pegasus, Herod, Layton Exclusive , Haltane, and Pegasus exclusive. Top fresh: Perseus (last All day on my skin), Sedley, Percival, and Greenly,
not affiliated, but i do recommend getting the discovery set, you get its value as a coupon for me and my sisters, 36 / 29 / 21 yrs, Layton and Carlisle smell very similar, Carlisle has gotten me a compliment so has Haltane i personally prefer Percival over Sedley Althair I do see being unisex, its a very good/nice vanilla smell your milage may very, it is definitely worth getting samples
Pegasus and Pegasus Exclusif are really good as well. Also I love Godolphin and Nisean. One of my favorite freshies from them is Darly. But I really want to know how could you leave Kalan out of this list. That's my number 2 after Layton. Also I have all of the ones on your list except Persius.
I just ordered a bottle and I'm super worried about people complaining about performance. It's a lot of money and I don't want to get something if it's not a good performer :/
@@zextranomens2785 Yes. Carlisle does dominate as you can expect but the Vanilla still shines through. Kinda dilutes the patchouli, but still remain dark/smoky.
I tried althaïr in an airport a few days ago and it left yellow stains on my wrists, it surprised me alot from this brand and I can't find anyone else who has had this problem. I was able to rub out the yellow stains so it wasn't an allergic reaction. Can anyone tell me what this could've been? The smell was amazing but I'm scared to buy it if it's gonna leave stains.
Carlisle doesn't have decent performance. The new formulation is a skin scent after 1 hour. The old one was complete beast mode, a room filler for 12 hours though. But it's difficult to get. I wouldn't recommend to buy any of the newer batches from PdM, they all have been watered down.
I am just really curious as to why all these reviewers think that this is all about women smelling men. Your lady, my lady, your girl, your woman etc. Whatever. I spoke with a PDM rep the other day and she sold me Herod. She said it was underrated which is exactly what I asked for: I wanted to sniff the underrated fragrances. She did not recommend any of the best sellers and I appreciated that. Great fragrance and it really is not on anyone's top anything list and frankly is one of the reasons I took it. Lots of Layton apple pies and spicy Carlisles running round and a lot less Herods.
Lets face it, Neeb, girls attack you with compliments mainly because you're in great shape and are a good looking dude. You could be a fashion and self improvement creator. The cologne is just the "in" they look for, which it should be.
I wouldn’t disagree with you, emphasizing more on what you already know and I have said that it’s a package to get compliments not just the Frag. The frag is an easier icebreaker to talk about and approach, but your spot on. I wouldn’t say you have to be in the best shape but you get the picture

No Percival no list. Perfect signature scent. Percival in the heat, Haltane in the cool/cold you’re all set. No cigarette smell, no potpourri smell, no coffee or candy smell. Just well blended heaven on earth scents that you never have to worry about being too much. Pure class!
Prime example of if it works for you or doesn’t. This clearly doesn’t work for you and there’s no problem with that. You’d be surprised how many people was still try and wear something that doesn’t work for them. In fact, this is even more of a specific case of it not working for people around you and if they are around you on a daily basis, that is a big factor as well! Which PDM is your go to?
