Hi Sim, one comment for you: for Musk Mood, you HAVE to try it on skin. Paper only reveals the stinky musk, but on skin, it actually gives some off some very nice floral/powder on top of the musk, which I believe is how the scent is designed. It will always have musk though, so that won't go away no matter what you do.
I noticed Yara doesn’t do well on a normal weather day but in the heat it’s projects beautifully! I wore it on my vacation to Hawaii and as my skin warmed up with the heat it’s projection and silage were amazing! I do tend to over spray which might also be the other reason but as soon as I got back to California I couldn’t smell it one bit but Yara does well in heat 💕 btw I love your content 🥰
Thank you for letting me know. I am currently wearing it to bed lol. Just trying to finish it because I was super disappointed with it. Same goes with Yara Moi. But what you are saying makes total sense. I will try and wear it outdoors and see the difference. Dubai is one of the hottest places in summer, so I will get to experiment with them ❤❤❤ Thank love!
Thank you Sim. I’ve had the worst year this year for buying non-performing fragrances ever in my life (I commented a while back on the Khamra I bought which I can now actually smell after a few months but it still has no longevity). I also received two by Paris Corner (Super Crush and Vibrant Vetiver) that I can barely smell, and sad to say even Mancera’s Instant Crush which is barely even a skin scent after 30 minutes (I have a couple of older Manceras and no problem with performance). Whether they’re bad batches or whether these houses are just trying to increase profits by cutting costs it’s a big trend I’m noticing, whether it's Mancera (who along with Montale seem to be killing their brand with more and more Fragranticans reporting awful performance) to even Lattafa and other Middle Eastern brands. Even Lady Roza, which I was thinking about buying. Now if I see even a few reviews saying ‘weak’ I just avoid them - which rules out almost everything. Pretty much every single fragrance you mentioned in this video has some Fragranticans saying ‘weak’ and ‘poor’ performance. It seems to be a bit of a lottery. No performance issues with A A Leather though! Awesome fragrance, this one.
Hey my Hun ❤ I am so sad to hear this. Frankly speaking I am not sure if brands are diluting stocks for the export markets. Because i do get soooo many comments on the performance of certain perfumes but my batch is high performing. It does raise the question of quality of exports. 1. Khamrah - Mine performs like a dream. I can smell it all day on me. So much so that I only use it during cooler months so as to not cloy people around me. 2. I have not touched brands like Paris Corner, Fragrance World etc. because I feel like they lack quality and blatantly do things I do not feel good about. 3. I had returned my Instant Crush because I could not smell it and I thought I had got a fake. I never tried to buy it gain. 4. Lady Roza, is a beast for me. I literally spray just 2-3 sprays or else I myself will feel cloyed. I hope my feedback helps. But I literally feel your hit or miss status right now :(
After suffering form covid my nose has changed significantly and I am not able to detect the nuances of perfumes. Something like that can also be a reason for not able to enjoy the perfumes that many others are liking.
I think I'm going to scratch off 'Moroccan baths', from my bucket list! 😄 As, a newbie to fragrance collecting, thank you so much for this time-saving presentation. Best wishes from London x
My Hun, wearing the Khaltaat Al Arabia Royal Blends Lattafa Perfumes Gold Edition today for my anniversary of arriving in Australia many decades ago. It is a cold day today and this is the perfect scent to brighten a dark cloudy day and enhance my mood as it is house work day 😂. I always play loud music whilst I clean & it will be the first 3 albums by Barry today. After I have a shower I will perhaps wear another scent. I feel one with rose or tuberose in it as I need this for the afternoon as this reminds me of the day we arrived. Our friends greeted us a with these lovely flowers and I also remember the scent in the air, so different from city scents, smelling so many sweet blossoms ( it is spring time) , woody scents and I remember in the evening the adults had a celebratory cognac which smelled divine even to my teenage nose. I think I will wear ( I know this scent is disliked or hated by some but I always get compliments wearing it and the dry down is so warm, comforting and suits the late afternoon evening memories of this date for me) Opulent Red. By the way I love Gucci by Gucci, another perfume that I always loved and have a tiny amount left ( I love Chypre perfumes) but that has been discontinued as Gucci Rush was also one I loved) . I have 5 of the fragrances you review in this video and agree ♥. Lots of love, to you and Markus, 😻😘❤Tia and the kitties💗😻😺😽
Happy Anniversary my hun ❤❤❤ May you have many happy years ahead of you filled with love, happiness and prosperity ❤ I also play loud music when I clean the house. Usually it is my 60s to mid seventies music. I have added Barry's music to that playlist now because of you and I enjoy them very much. I am getting very tempted to buy Opulent Red because of you. Because our taste is very similar. I also enjoy Gucci Guilty and Rush a lot!!!! ❤ Much love to you my hun and love of cuddles to your furbabies ❤
@@SiminShaikh Thank you my hun ❤. I am so thrilled to hear you listen to Barry's music as well, this made my day ❤. He really was such a kind and special person, as was his twin brother Paul and it just makes me so happy to think that I was able to introduce you to their music. I love the 60s to mid 70s music as well. Just such an exciting time for music, things that were new and fresh and also to me a happy vibe and something perhaps at times more innocent than now and also deeper and to me more emotional than some other styles of music. The twins started their career in the mid 60s and went on to be their most successful I suppose until the early mid 70s so for me it the most perfect music. I think you would like Opulent Red as it has a "goth" side to it, or so I think, it is a beastie but the dry down is warm and to me so very special. It certainly can be a shock at the start ( although I never smelled anything nasty even at first sniff). I felt there was a hint of leather, like when you enter a handbag shop or Italian leather shoe shop, expensive leather and perhaps some books, cardamom follows closely, pink pepper which I adore and I sometimes think I can smell it a touch still in the dry down , of course very mellowed. The blood orange and pear I can smell but it sort of is like ripe blood orange and ripe pear, if this makes sense but it then the Tuberose and Jasmine ( and to me not the Jasmine that gives you headaches as some do this to me) combine with the Rosewood, Cognac ( I love this note as it a nice scent not a ' I smell like a pub ' type of scent, but I almost feel there could be a hint of tobacco there, not sure, the Heliotrope is interesting in this , the oud in this is so comforting like a caress combined with the Vanilla, Amber, Sandalwood, Tonka Bean, and Patchouli. It is in no way a too sweet a fragrance, it is grown up and I see someone in a red velvet dress, who daringly may even smoke a cigarillo. But there is also some sweetness and mystery to this scent. When I get compliments and asked about the notes they all look at me and say all these note, how can it work, but so far only got compliments. I had someone run after me to ask me about it, so it does invade personal space 🤣which is fine by me as I am a hug kind of person. I also tend to spray generously. Lots and lots of love to you, and Markus, Tia 😘♥♥♥😻😽
I just discovered your channel, but I think you might become a fave ;). I'm always looking for fellow Middle Eastern perfume - lovers. I have 14 full bottle Lattafa's and then like 20 decants. I totally get why you can't choose and just put 2 or 3 in the same spot 😅. My favourites, in no particular order: Pride Nebras, Fakhar Rose, Pride Afaq, Pride Ansaam Gold, Pride Winner's Trophy Gold, Khamrah, Raghba (though the oud has been getting stronger after a year and is overpowering the lovely Cinnamon- vanilla I loved so much), Yara and Ameer Al Oudh Intense oud. Lattafa Pure Musk is okay, but not a love. Officially Asdaaf is Lattafa too and I love my Asdaaf Ameerat Al Arab and Asdaaf Andaleeb, so I'll just let you imagine I inserted them between Khamrah and Raghba 😂. I also own Lattafa Confidential Private Gold, Emaan and Sakeena (that packaging❤). They all seem promising, but just arrived from abroad which means they need to macerate & chill as they always smell quite weird at first. I can almost never use my Lattafa's or other Arab fragrances directly after arrival. Pretty annoying... (Paris Corner is better that way. Love all my PC stuff). I also have Raghba Wood Intense, but I'll sell it ASAP. Two spritzes told me all I needed to know. Got it 2 weeks ago, but it's been reformulated and the new version is way too masculine, even for me. The decants are obviously not full bottles for a reason. It's all the Ana Abiyedh stuff, the Oud Moods, Bade'e Al Ouds etc. They're all disgusting on me. I'm keeping them in case a friend is interested. Khaltaat Al Arabia Royal Blends is still on my wishlist. Btw, I think Fakhar Rose was on the market sooner than the current L'interdit, so I think Fakhar is based on the vintage L'interdit. If I'm right you can have Fakhar on 1 after all, hihi.
Yayyyy! A new friend! I am absolutely loving having discussions with like minded people. I am fairly new to the Lattafa game so I always look for inspirations and suggestions from friends. I am so glad we found each other coz I think you have more experience in Lattafa than me and I can learn so much from you. I only recently found out the L'interdit was inspired by Audrey Hepburn and is actually a vintage perfume. I am absolutely in love with it. It is very interesting to know that Fakhar came before (new) L'interdit. I have yet to try Pride Afaq, Pride Winner's Trophy Gold, Raghba, Asdaaf Andaleeb, Lattafa Confidential Private Gold, Emaan and Sakeena. I have a lot I have to review. I have reviewed many Pride ones but I have yet to edit the videos (and I am being a lazy bum!) hehe. I agree about the maceration bit. I seriously believe for Lattafa to be at a more professional level, they need to macerate and only then, sell their stocks. Many people do not know that they need to be macerated and will stop using the brand. P.S. I have not tried any Paris Corners yet, but you are tempting me ❤❤❤
Yayyy! New friend who love perfumes. Don’t you think it’s like an addiction? Like you just can’t have enough of it and you wanna smells all the perfumes in the world. But life is so short and money so less 😂😂😂
@@SiminShaikhI’m the same way! I associate scents with memories (both good and bad) which is an extremely expensive coping mechanism due to my ptsd so I feel like I can’t have enough! If I ever want to be in a good mood a just spray something with a happy memory! Unfortunately I’ve had a lot of great fragrances ruined from that but since discovering middle eastern fragrances I can get some new super unique smells more often! Thankyou for your channel you’ve opened me up to a whole new world of artistry!
Loved the list and your rating! We definitely have a similar taste ☺️ The funny thing is Royal Blends is probably my most complimented fragrance. Unfortunately, it doesn't last well on me, so maybe I should let it macerate
Thank you so much hun ❤ I think we get anosmic (olfactory adaptation) after a while with Royal Blends. Coz everyone around me smells it but I cant for the life me.
Yayyyy! New friend alert! You have no idea how good it feels when someone says they like your descriptions. Because that is something I am always most conscious about. Much love to you, Sim xx 🙏♥️
I can't wear the Ana Abiyedh leather on my person. I use it for spraying the inside of my leather bags, not directly, but on a rolled piece of cheese cloth, same for leather coats (in pockets) and shoes (inside their boxes). Then, place them in storage bags until the appropriate season. I also use it on cloth under the car seat, I have leather seats, and it works well for that for me. 😊
wooow totally didnt expect that with musk mood. On my skin it smells like dove soap. But the ana abiyedh one is giving me a headache i gifted it to my father and it totally fits him, with that i only get woods and animalic musk no fruitiness what so ever 😥😥 But I want to totally try the poudre one since people say it smells like the narciso poudre one and i loove that! Have you tried out the lovely cherie one from the maison alhambra line?
Heya hun! You know, someone else told me to try it on my skin and not on clothes or paper. So I am going to try it again and see if I like it. I understand what you mean with the Ana Abiyedh. It can feel very cloying. I am waiting for the price to drop for the Lovely Cherie, the peach one and the rose one. Right now it is too inflated. Its like 60dollars or so 😥
I love how you relish your love for Arabian perfumes and perfumes in general. Where would you rank Lattafa Badee Al Oudh Amethyst in this? I am a newbie to Lattafa game and love Arabian fragrances. I am torn between Khamra, Ameer al oudh intense and Amethyst. Which one of the three would you pick as your first Lattafa sent and which one do you think is a must have out of the three?
Hehe yea its a passion for me ❤ I love trying out new ME brands that deserve to be known and smelled by everyone ❤ You have put me in a tough spot lol. That choice is too tough. So let me out this in order of my preferrence: 1. Amethyst - Arabian Queen sprta Roe. Very strong and not for the faint hearted. 2. Ameer Al Oud Intense - Cozy winter By the fireplace scent with Arabian nuances 3. Khamrah - A fresher version on Angels Share (not a dupe) If I had to start from scratch I would buy both amethyst and Ameer Al Oud Intense ❤ Did I confuse you more? 😂❤
@@SiminShaikh I gotta love and respect your passion. It feels really genuine when you dissect each notes of a perfume, unlike tons of influencers out there hyping up the products. It gets really difficult especially when you have no choice but to get a scent that personifies you from an online business. Actually you didn't confuse me at all. I was going on the same accord as you 😅For me, I got some cozy scents, but I was wanting a royal and regal scent like those of Egyptian times. Imagine Cleopatra having a milk bath with rose petals in it and then smoked in dark rich oudy rose godness that feels unapologetic like being the daughter of the wilderness. And amethyst is giving me that. So I believe I would be getting Amethyst first hand, and then later on maybe Ameer al Oudh or Sheik Al Shuyukh. I have also heard that Khamra is coming up with its new version of 'Khamra Qahwa', which would be khamra and coffee. Its uncanny, because the other day I was thinking how all these 3 scents that are mentioned, would get nuclear if we layer them with some coffee notes in the background. Even Amethyst, if I am right about where its notes are going. Reminds me of Al Rehab Coffee, which is yet another most talked about scent, when it comes to being just pure coffee based scent. Thank you for taking your time to respond back. I really do appreciate it a lot. You have a long way ahead in your journey🍀🖤
Hello gorgeous, awesome video! Thanks to your suggestions I'm one week from ordering Nebras... I'm thinking I can wear it during the night in the Spring and Summer in New Zealand because the temperature doesn't rise from 15 degrees Celsius (in Christchurch), though not during the day as it might be too cloying at 30 degrees?
Heya my beautiful Hun ❤ I am so excited for you. Nebras is so close to my heart, what a beauty. Oh yes! In that temperature, it will be great! but daytime in 30 degrees not so much I suppose. Its a very tight snuggy hug perfume so will definitely cloy ❤ I hope this helps babe xo
@@SiminShaikh yay I cannot wait! I love cocoa in perfumes and vanilla as well, of course! My Ansaam Gold and Yara are delayed due to bad weather event (such is NZ life), so I'm in need of a fragrance fix... Might go sniff Eilish today to figure out if I'll like Nebras, if it's anything like Candy Night (Prada) I'll definitely love it. Thanks gorgeous!
@@SiminShaikh Morena (good morning in Te Reo Maori) beautiful! So, they've arrived and my veredict is; Yara came ready to party, smelling fruity, creamy and delicious (perfect for the New Zealand summer at the beach), Ansaam Gold however smells like alcoholic bug spray! I've sprayed it a few times, shaken it and left it in its box in my wardrobe... there's no way this fragrance has the cult following it has smelling like this! How long do you think I should leave it to macerate?
@@SiminShaikh This is a relative novelty (2022), there are few reviews on it both on RU-vid and on Fragrantica, but all very positive (saffron, leather, suede, amber, vanilla, tonka beans, musk) could not resist, today I ordered blindly. Hope I like it. Many people compare this fragrance with two fragrances: Babycat Yves Saint Laurent and Rosendo Mateu Nº 5. But to be honest, I am not familiar with either of them 😂🌷
I don’t trust anyone who thinks Yara or Signature is good. These are the same people who fall in the category of people who chew ice-cream. No ma’am! 😂😂😅😢
@@SiminShaikh but I love that we can love different things . I do live your honest reviews ! I wish more reviewers would tell what they like and dislike. 😘😘😘
Mam a big Hai from India ❤ I was just breaking my head to know which one is best to pick from the Lattafa brand. You are seriously an Angel in disguise ❤❤❤ I became an addict to your channel and couldn’t keep my phone down. You are just too good in reviewing in perfumes. I can confidently say that your channel is one of theeeeee BEST perfume reviewers channel and its so underrated. Waiting to watch more such amazing content from you ❤❤❤ Ur top lists of Lattafa went in my cart and am so happy that I placed the order today with much content and joy in my heart. Thanx a ton ❤❤❤
Hello my beautiful Angel, We are all friends here, please call me Sim ❤ Thank you for joining my RU-vid family and being so kind with your comments. I hope I always keep you entertained. Much love, Sim xx
Whenever I wear Arabian parfumes I bought mostly in UAE, people I passed starting to sneeze. Ok what happen there? Am I too dusty or the parfumes so strong? Fakhar Lattafa, Yara are few of my daily parfumes...people sneeze you know!
@@SiminShaikh Wow, and your honest! Take the compliment because you are much more than a set of pretty eyes. Bless your husband - one seriously blessed man!!!
Thank you for your new video and the interesting rating. There are a lot of Lattafa perfumes from your collection I still have to try, because I only just started with my personal collection. 😊 Have a wonderful day. ❤
I am so happy that someone is on a similar journey as me. Discovering new ones from Lattafa are so exciting because they don't break my bank 😊😊😊 Much love to you hun ❤
FANTASTIC...thank you so so much for your response. Was unsure as Fakhar Rose has the rose in its name and reviews fir Badee Amethyst talks of rose as well. ..You have put my mind at rest now..thank you
Hi,loved d ranking, btw everyone has their own set of liking perfumes are so subjective...but we really enjoyed d video...one thing I need to know how do u macerete a new bottle of perfume,do we need to take lid off n let it rest in dark place or with their lids on ...plmk who ever can guide me
Heyy A.A! How are you doing! I’ve recently started following you and you made me love lattafa perfumes. I want to try one now but dont know from which to start with. I’m a practicing doctor, 28yrs old female who like elegant strong fragrances. Kindly recommend me some lattafa to start with. And by the way you’re doing great job ❤
Heya my Hun! W.A.S! Thank you for being a part of my channel ❤ For a practicing doc I would recommend Lattafa Ana Abiyedh Rouge, just because it will not bother anyone. Also, I wanted to tell you what an amazing job you have. God bless you always and help you save lives ❤❤❤
hello! new subscriber here! Thankyou for your reviews! I've just got into Middle Eastern perfumes and my first purchase is Dirham Wardi. I love it! what do you think of that one?
Heya new friend! Welcome to my channel! Dirham Wardi is a good scent but unfortunately it is not for me. Please keep in mind that it is loved and adored by soooo many people across the world. It was a viral perfume after all. However for me, it smells very much like CH Good Girl perfume, which I do not like at all. This is why I stay away from Dirham Wardi and Bint Hooran as well ❤
Can you make a lattafa list but for women? I’m trying to buy a perfume for my Wife from lattafa that’s very feminine smelling because she doesn’t like lightly masculine smelling perfumes (unisex). Would be great if you could do a top 5 or top 10 lattafa for women. Thank you in advance Ma’am.
Ooooooh this is so tough lol. ok so. 1. Nebras if you want to impress a loved one or a potential love 2. Khamrah to be impressed and get noticed generally I hope I made some sense there lol.
Actually tangerine.. But this note is the first one to go and fade.. The coconuty vanilla and sweet berries tart scent are the notes that stay with you from it
I am very confused between ameer Al oud ..oud mood and sheikh Al shuyukh ... I need something not too loud just a little sweet warm fragrance with a touch of oud..
@SiminShaikh I actually own shagaf oud.. it was a blind buy.. and it was very sweet for my taste so.. I j wanted to know among oud mood , ameer al oud and sheikh Al shuyukh which one smells different and better from shagaf oud.
Hi! I loved your video, you made a very good description. I also bought a lot of Lattafa perfumes and the only one I loved is Fakhar. The rest, in order, would be Khamrah, Opulent Musk, Ajwad, Yara Moi, Musk Mood, Oud Mood, Yara. My favourite oriental perfumes are Rasasi La Yuqawam Jasmine Whisp and Swiss Arabian Musk 07. Looking forward to watching your next ranking!
Hey Hun ❤ I suppose it is a matter of nose, since we all perceive perfumes so differently. To me Fakhar is very close to a perfume I love which is L'Interdit and I find it very modern.
Im getting such mixed reviews for it. Like I personally think it is a meh perfume. But people have asked me to let it macerate and use it in the summer ❤❤❤ Lol. Lets see.
Ana abiyed white is the most disgusting perfume for me …closely followed by ajwad….gave them away……..for me they were weird and nauseating Favourite is Ana abiyed rouge……I don’t get hospitals at all 😊
I'm right there with you. And Ana Abiyedh Rouge is easily one of my most favourite Middle Eastern perfumes. It's sweet and cozy and has this almost intimate aura around it. I love it 😊
