Cosmic eclipse is by far the best and most appealing set. So much variety and card types not really seen before. Absolutely love that set, probably my favorite of all time
should stock up on d21 pokeball tins, they have one cosmic, one vivid voltage and one rebel clash for 15 euros (idk about dollars), these cosmic packs sell for 15-20 euros per pack, thats ur money back allready. then vivid and rebelcalsh sell for 3-6 euros each. means one 6 pack of these d21 tins is about 35 euro profit :) or you can open the free packs
No way, after watching you rank the SWSH video I thought to myself “I sure wish he did a sun and moon one” and here we are, saving this video for when I eat dinner.
TEAM UP fans unite! It is absolutely my favorite S&M set! I'm a BIG believer in the full art Sabrina's Suggestion and Erika's Hospitality! Going to add those to a 'best cards under $100' video I'm making soon!
YEEES!!! It’s my favorite too!!! I pulled the rainbow rare pikachu zekrom out of a freaking true steel collections box that had 1 team up pack. That’s the rarest card in the set so that was sooooo lucky!!!
Haha I’m early! Jake let me inform you about the release of ultra Prism. There was a Cyrus Prism Card that did not say the correct words. I don’t remember what it was supposed to say, but Pokemon had to recall all first release Ultra Prism products because of that one misprint. I don’t why they should care, but it was their decision. And honestly speaking, I’m actually glad they did it!
Aaaaw Crimson Invasion is one of my favorite sun and moon sets. I am trying to get every card and so far I have 6/8 regular gx’s, 4/11 full art cards and 2/13 secret rates.
Suprised cosmic eclipse didn’t come closer to HF, the character cards and the possibility of a reverse holo slot hit makes this set so strong in my opinion.
Nice video, I've been waiting for this! Pretty accurate overall, the only disagreement I have is swapping Burning Shadows with Shining Legends. Outstanding analysis once again, Jakey boy!
After 2 years My son and I have just completed our master set of Hidden Fates. We love Xy Evolutions because my son pulling that Charizard reprint and he showed me. At first I thought it was fake, then we went to the store and bought a binder and some sleeves. That was August of 2019.
I liked your Sword and shield video and this one is awesome too. I just got into it for several reasons. The obvious ones and the fun behind it bringing me back to childhood and teenager years. The most awesome part about it though is that I get to have fun with my daughter collecting and opening Pokémon products. She loves it and when we pull great or even decent cards her reaction does it all for me and makes it worth it. The 2.5 hours waiting in lines sucks and trying to time certain retailers is challenging but our love for doing something we both enjoy is worth it. Keep up the great work and these type of videos are great to help us newer people make better decisions.
I didn't start collecting again until Sword n Shield era so missed the train on a lot of these sets. Really excited to open some hidden fates tins I found at Target this week. Glad the best set is still being reprinted.
New subscriber here ! Appreciate how informative your videos are . Not over doing it with too much energy yet not boring . Seen quite a bit of your videos , keep at it bro
Shining Legends is my favorite set! My son doesn’t know it yet, but I just bought the last card to complete it. I generally like the smaller sets, because they are easier to complete.
Hmm maybe add a section for largest amount of playable cards for next time? Staples that see play in lots of decks like Pikarom or Volcanion or Welder for example.
Cosmic Eclipse is my favorite, so many fun cards. I still have one sealed pack and its hard not to peek inside. Hidden Fates was fun but we got fatigued on opening them. There was about a six month period of time Hidden Fates was everywhere. Cosmic eclipse came and went..
So I am commenting while the video is on 6th place, Something told me that the top 5 was gonna be Hidden Fates and the 4 tag team sets. Great break down, you should do it more often with all the different set runs.
I’ve been collecting since the end of the ruby/sapphire sets, but I took a break from the tcg right when sun + moon dropped. Got back into it when unified minds came out, and I can’t describe how happy I am that I picked up the latias/latios for $20 at a regional
I don't really know why Detective Pikachu isn't the worst set. It has close to no cards, and none of the cards are worth anything besides maybe the Charizard. But, I do agree with the others. Nice Vid Jake!
Very informative video, Jake. I was stunned when you said that sealed Team Up booster boxes (a set that is still in standard) go for $1,000. Any set that's less than 3-4 years old should not be sold for that much.
Great review! Aside for my disagreement about Hidden Fates (its one of my least favorite sets ever released) this was a great comparison and ranking video.
jake! i think a great video idea would be to make a video on times where you actually DIDNT see a return on an investment, or simply sold something that became super valuable in the future. for example, i pulled a test tub mewtwo back when shining legends came out for $50 and its haunted me ever since 😃
2019 was such a great year for pokemon card collectors. you could purchase products for normal prices. i pulled the gengar & mimkyu rainbow, mewtu & mew fullart and shiny charizard gx and still got them all ^^ hidden fates is definitely the best set since years
In 2017 when I first started collecting I bought a box that had like 8 packs of shining legends in it and I pulled the mewtwo in the tube and shining rayquaza and I pulled shining jirachi
I havent collected Pokemon cards since 2020 when I purchased a set of Sun & Moon Cosmic Eclipse during covid. Thought it would be cool to get back into it now and thought ill start where I left off (collecting Cosmic Eclipse) and its pretty much not possible to get a pack on the shelvs in any store in the UK and the booster packs are like £25 for 10 cards online. Think I'll have to give up on that one and start Scarlet & Violet.
1. Hidden Fates 2. Shining Legends 3. Cosmic Eclipse 4. Team Up There are 4 entire sets that feature Tag Team cards, and only 1 set since 2002 that features Shining cards. Shining cards are infinitely cooler than Tag Team cards to me because they date back to Wizards of the Coast era cards. Shining Mew, Shining Ho-Oh, Shining Rayquaza, Shining Jirachi, and Test Tube Mewtwo are, in my opinion, better than all Tag Team sets combined.
I think Ultra Prism is suupppper underrated, I love the whe cards in that set. There's a guy here in my country that's selling a 72 pack box and I want to open it for my channel so bad, but damn it's expensive
Crimson I enjoy better than guardian rising. Crimson had a bunch of awesome chase cards. I’m a huge gyarados fan though. Also some great trainer cards.
I still get a lot of crimson invasion in tin sets but I'll keep them sealed because they might be $20 a pack when they get discontinued. I think Detective pikachu will have very mainstream interest. The 2nd movie is coming out soon
Fun little story: I've opened 2 guardians rising packs and the first one i opened and had rainbow rare Sylveon. I wouldve never bought the card on my own but by luck of the draw its one of my favorite pulls!
