@@NightEver | My Modern deck is an Infect that can win on turn 2 or 3, and even I realize it's part of the problem. This shit makes Dynamax look slow! _(just in case you play pokemon)_
@@Grogeous_Maximus You guys calling for bans are always so dramatic xD. Idk about standard, but i don't think this card is extremely op or anything, just looks nice.
Didn't you know the video is a 10 Red mana 10 generic 12/41 Red Phyrexian God with Haste, ward pay 10 life. Ability: RU-vid - Every new subscriber reduces the mana cost by 1 Red mana and 1 generic mana. Every subscriber after this card reaches 0 mana cost turns into a 1/1 follower with haste and prowess.
@@intheftin2861 I mean, Thief of Blood would remove any -1/-1 counters from creatures that were dealt damage from infect sources, or possibly remove +1/+1 counters from your opponents infect creatures if they buffed them that way. But it won't remove poison counters from players. Thief of Blood's ability removes counters from all *permanents* when it enters the battlefield. "110.1 A permanent is a card or token on the battlefield."
I'm actually really excited for Graaz, Unstoppable Juggernaut. I've been wanting to try making a colorless commander deck, but there aren't a lot of good commenders for such a thing
As good and fun as he is, he has a huge downside as a commander: you have 0 cardraw and you need your card space for ramp. Trust me, I play colorless Kozilek for a reason. We still miss you Golos
@@zerogamerpro3146 If Golos weren't banned, Kozilek would be a lot cheaper, plus his intrinsic Draw to 7 and Counter by discard are strong enough, imagine if he also had Annihilator
I love that if there was single card this set that deserved a 6/5 rating it was going to be hexgold slash, lol. XD I also read and heard that card as "if the opponent is being toxic, deal 4 damage to them and kill them".
Vraska did pretty well in my sealed draft deck of the pre-release. Most of people there used toxic counter strategy, the toxic and proliferate cards just made poison usable.
10:10 I think it makes sense as a Golgari ability as both Black and Green have haste as well as the ability to grant it and Green has a lot of creatures matter abilities.
Capricious Hellraiser might apparently seem a fast cast for 4/4 flying at cost 3 + free spell from graveyard, but this is actually not going to be that early, within first 3 rounds hardly you'll have at least 9 cards in the graveyard and 3 of those will be picked randomly
Phyrexian Obliterator is by far one of the best black creatures ever printed... I played it in nonstandart formats for a long time. And - stick with me - 3/5?? I mean, that's underrated by someone who doesn't know, how much fun it is to play with it. TBF i don't like the art (original forever baby), I would give 4/5 'cose obvious things are obvious, othwervise it would be solid 5...
1:23 Tyrranax Rex clearly should be a 5/5 because as you said for Thrun, Breaker of Silence at 4:29 "whenever you see this text right here that says "This spell can't be countered," that's how you know it's a good card" and it has ward 4 which makes players that play any white, blue and black and any combination of those colors for exiling, destroying and bouncing sad.
Are you implying that all of my permanent spells aren't already historic in my Jhoira deck? ...well, okay, there's a couple Goblins and a Fish. Still, almost no need for Mycosynth whatever! Although It would let me make them indestructible with Darksteel Forge...and reduce the cost more efficiently. Nevermind, you sold me, I'm give it a try.
I used to play mill rogue in Hearthstone, and sometimes as soon as I milled even a very basic card from their deck they'd just forfeit. Turns out some people play to have fun.
Magic the Noahs dream card: This card costs X less Every combat step that a player does not attack with a creature, put one counter on this card then deal that much damage to that player. Creatures with toxic and/or infect don't count as attackers for this ability On every players end step they take as much damage as X multiplied by the number of poison counter inflicted this turn plus 1. X is the number of toxin and infect keywords in play
New Atraxa is a lot better than she looks, especially in reanimator. Keyword soup 7/7 that can very easily draw three or four cards? That’s a game-winner.
With your ever growing fanbase the likely hood of seeing this is slime, however I only play commander and our house rule is 20 poison counters since it's half of 40 and ten is half of 20 for standard
I don't like going against mill. because it puts that factor of "yay, i get to play all my cards. and you don't". or just not play at all if you get milled out. now, people can say "well, what if for an example, your opponent is milling you. but, you draw like elixir of immortality". that would be a good counter in theory. in practicality tho, chances are the card is also getting milled.
as a kid I was like "I like these big worms" (forgot the names sadly, but there were several like 20, 25 years ago) as well, one of the reasons why I like green. But I can appreciate the little creatures too that either come in mass and/or get buffed to big/big with trample. Im a simple man.
capricious hellraiser is gonna be stoooopid. izzet decks are definitely gonna run it to get extra turns for free, its gonna be like torrential gearhulk in red but for sorceries too
Truly an amazing video. When Elesh Norn said "It's all will be one'in time" and one'd all over the place, this set will definitely become one of the sets of all time
I have a slight speculation that you only like magic with one goal and one win con... cast creatures creatures fight... it's fun, kids can do it, but a little boring if it's the only tactic in the book.
