the grasshopper is def a cupsole, with full midsole. just has good flexibility and board feel with included insole. beware that they fit about half size big. the cats are TTS.
If you’re a Dunk guy, I’d highly recommend the ASICS Japan Pro. Similar silhouette, but I think they are much better, especially the rubber compound they use. If you dislike the rubber on the Dunks, you’ll love the rubber on the Japan Pro.
@@geosarchive they’re a Japanese company. They started their skate shoes there in 2018 and finally brought them to the states in 2023. There’s a lot of Japanese people and skaters that hold ASICS with high regard. I’m currently skating the Japan Pro and it’s one of my favorite shoes. I’ve been doing a wear test on them on my channel.
I don't really like the price-tag on those 3 shoes. Would have to buy them on-sale, considering you are literally sandpapering them down, almost burning money. But I haven't really looked for alternatives except thin shoes.
Es Accels are getting a new shape in the next year for all models so it would be cool to compare the old shape vs the new one. As of now the skate shop day Accels are the only ones out with the new shape. Its supposed to be more like the shape from 1996-2004 compared to the overly poofy versions we’ve been getting lately. Im personally a fan of the “reissue” shape because it reminds me of how they were during that Menikmati era
I have been skating the es accel mids and i love the boardfeel and they are pretty durable. I got the herion eggcell mids im going to skate next. Currently im skating the tyshawn 1s which are also great but they get destroyed rather quick
I recently switched to pepper grip for my last few boards and i feel like mob starts out grippier but tends to wear down quicker then pepper. so after a few sessions mob tends to feel like the grit on it has increased and pepper just stays the same level of grippines.
