The box of chocolates physically hurts kris and susie to eat, people known for eating moss and chalk with no complaints. That chocolate, even if its tasty, would give you the worst stomach ache of your life.
It hurts them because they ate ALL of it at once. It says so in the text, (You and Susie shared the heart-shaped box of candies.) (Both of you had a feeling in your chest...) (... that you shouldn't have eaten all of it.)

In the light world, the dark candy is just a sticker. I think it's implied through the text of inspecting the ball of junk if you had a dark candy. Not sure if this makes it any better or worse for the dark world version though.
When Noelle asks if the dark burger is made out of meat, I at first thought that this was a joke about her being a vegetarian, y'know, because she's a Deer monster or something? But now that you point it out, it makes more sense that she's actually just questioning the quality of the food.
I assumed spaghetti code containing macarons and ribbons referred to the types of pasta which are called that way respectively, considering it’s meant to be a mixture of different things like a messy code in programming, hence the name.
