In India, Dairy farming is traditional. Dairy farmers follow traditional feeding system by feeding of some green fodder, dry fodder and some concentrate. Feed constitutes 60 - 70 % of milk production cost. If feed is given excess or less to their animal, it accounts to heavy loss to the dairy farmers. To increase dairy farm profit, scientific feeding should be followed. Scientific feeding includes feeding of required nutrients according to their body weight and milk production.
