why wouldn't you factor the (x^2+2x+4) further from the last example?
@MariosMathTutoring
@MariosMathTutoring 4 года назад
It’s because that is not factorable further.

How came that you cancel out the common term if its a monomial in binomial..?
@MariosMathTutoring
@MariosMathTutoring 5 лет назад
Joey, I’m not sure I understand your question. You want to factor the numerators and denominators as much as possible first then see if you can cancel factors in the numerator and denominator. For example say the numerator was (x-3) and the denominator was (x+4) you would not be able to cancel just the x....that is a common mistake that students sometimes make...I’ll see if I can find any other videos I have that can help you....just a minute

Hi, I had a question and this term is getting me confused. So right not we are learning this but at the end of the answer we have x ≠ (a number) for our answer...but the thing is our teacher tells us that there is sometime you can put it and sometimes you dont need to
@MariosMathTutoring
@MariosMathTutoring Год назад
Set the denominators = to zero. Those are the excluded values …because you don’t want the denominator equal to zero because it would be undefined. Hope that helps you.

@@MariosMathTutoring thank you, i think that helps…but there is this other part where so my teacher said that sometimes you don’t have to include x not equal the number if it’s already visible in the final answer
