I don't understand how line clipping works If you clip the line how will the fish take line when the bait runner is on or if the fish is pulling drag? Do you unclip and then clip it after every cast?
Before every cast, you'll measure your line on the measuring pegs. When you cast, as soon as it starts sinking, you unclip it. Then repeat once you've reeled in again.
However, some people will leave it clipped in. BUT as soon as it hits the water, they will reel in a few meters back to give the fish some room to run. That's only if you don't want to measure every time before you cast.
Okay Brandon, so, you measure out your ideal line length using two fishpens, then you clip in your line and reel it up. You cast out and you try to ht your clip on the fall if not just let it clip and bring it down. Then you unclip your line, and set your drag or spooling for the carp to run. No run yet and want to rebait? Just clip it in again and reel it home. If the fish does run, catch the fish and measure it out again (unfortunetly hard work ) , clip it in and cast again. Repeat
Hi Brandon, once u have cast on the clip and let the line sink etc you normally have three to four winds on the spool. Another method to consider is using an elastic I am sure there are vids around for that, or perhaps Loutjie can demonstrate one.
I like your videos a lot . I know whenever I watch you I'm not just gonna watch and guess for myself how you do something but I'll hear you explaining how you do it .

As ek mag vra Oom!! Watse stokke is Oom se go to stokke want ek speel rond maar het nog nie regtig iets gekry vir die langer afstande waarvan ek hou nie!!
Als ik wat mag vragen Oom!! Welke stok is oom zijn go to, want ik (speel rond, denk probeer dingen) maar heb nog niet iets echt goeds voor de lange afstanden. Iets waarvan ik houd zeggen we niet over een hengel in NL. (zo ff vertaald naar proper nederlands).
