The thing with Raubtier is that if you actually "study" the lyric then you will notice that most of the songs are quite poetical. The problem is that they aren't that big in other countries so there really hasn't been any need to translate their songs, and some of the translations out there are quite bad and mostly directly translated word for word which makes the lyrics lose their meaning a bit. But some songs I personally can recommend if you find them with subtitles (or if you use English lyrics from another page) is "Låt napalmen regna ner" And "Vittring" Both them should be available on RU-vid in a raubtier album someone uploaded with English subs to every song. Oh and they have done one English song to my knowledge which is called "dragunov" which could be worth checking out. Sorry for the long message I just love Raubtier and I really like your videos , you actually talk a bit about the music not only listen to it. So keep up the good work. PS the name Raubtier is actually German and means predator/wild animal. Even though the band is Swedish.
Lat Napalmen is on the list already so I added Vittring. No worries on the huge comment. Love reading stuff from you guys. I am here to learn about music as much as share it. The interaction is the best part! :)
As someone who loves metal and music but lacks any formal musical education, your channel is really great for discussion of songs on an anatomical level in a really palatable way for non-musicians, thank you! I struggle to articulate what I like about a song in this sense but a lot of what you say makes sense.
I think it comes from me not being a musician per say. I have basic drum skills and I can sing, but have no theory on it really. All I know is from my own research and I have an understanding of how others without this knowledge would not know specific things without more detail. I am glad it is helping others understand! :)
Translation: I have a special little trick when the last bang becomes a click. The day my uprising is past and its time for my sortie (french for exit) You have stolen everything from me. I have payed thousandfold. But when my way out is erased and my supply of lead and gunpowder is beginning to end. I keep the last bullet. The one that shall end my days. If you take everything from me. My will to live. I keep the last bullet. Where is the common sense? It asphyxiated in poisoned air, and was replaced by predominance (hegemony). But now the last word has been said. I'll never give up. You will never enter here. I'll take as many as I can with me. I won't retriet any more.
I tried doing it twice, but both times the videos were blocked. So now I have seen it and won't try again as I know the song pretty good now after two tries. It is unfortunate. :(
