This kid is something else. The fact that he’s buying his mom a van and not himself a car speaks volumes. Bless your soul young man God bless you . Your faith with God shows also in the ring good hue man.
@Beline Dawska hes literally fighting in the UFC at 18, fucking killing it still in high school and y'all be like "he don't got a license though" try to be happy for someone else for 2 seconds
Bro is literally on some Mike tyson type shit, beating up grown men as a kid! So humble, driven and respectful. Crazy how being young and a dreamer allowed him to not be swallowed by how big this platform was. He's in it for the right reasons. I hope this dude becomes the face of the company.
This young man just handled that fight like a vet. He just sliced through that guy like hot knife in butter. Just every positive position he saw he took. And just displayed spectacular ground game and grappling.
Let’s not act like he didn’t fight a guy 0-2 and is on his way out of the ufc. Much respect to the kid. But I hate how the ufc has been building names and feeding certain people easy fights to keep building them up. Just look at paddy tonight.
@@saucegotti9416 I'd argue that it isn't building up at all, but exactly the right matchup for this point in his career, 18yo, ufc debut. Who else would you expect him fight? People expect too much too fast.
@@saucegotti9416dude yeah he fought a can just like everyone else only he’s 18 years old. I don’t care about the opponent. I’m more impressed with how cool he was. Would’ve never expected him to shoot that early. A lot of young guys are frozen in the first round in their debut cuz of nerves and feeling it out. He just needs to keep getting better
This guy is going to be the star paddy wants to be. Humble and confident, strong ground game in a very wrestling-heavy fight meta. Speaks two of the most common languages in the fight game. Young enough that we could possibly see him make his way through 3 weight classes as he grows into his body. The next 15 years are going to be huge for him.
He’s not as good looking, and he doesn’t have the charisma of paddy, I do think he’s a much better fighter, but at the same time that isn’t what makes stars.
@yunobls6573 they have a lot to do with making super stars, you have to fit a certain look, it’s unfortunate, but true. The exceptions I can think of for this rule are khabib, and Islam who’s superstardom is based off khabib beating Conor. I believe paddy is the most famous MMA fighter rn other than Conor, Islam, and Oliveira.
2:27 his joke about his mom driving him put a smile on my face because you could tell he found genuine humor in saying that. Kids really growing on me. Wish him the best 🇲🇽
My man is an example .. well spoken as well in both languages English and Spanish. This guy can fight as well. He’s definitely going places. Good luck to his future
Anyone else noticed how hydrated this kid is, drinks water like an alcoholic drinks beer. That's really cool, he's focused, believes in himself and wants to take care of his body. The future looks Good 💯
He's 18 stop with the 17 sht and ofc he supposed to win his debut against a guy 0-3 in the ufc impressive regardless but it's not supposed to be hard competition for him it's supposed to be favorable matchups
this is the top of kid that can come and be a mulitple division champ' grew and fill in to each division a year @ a time or so and grab atleast up to welter weigh " im not stretching it ' hes young enough and good enough to do it
Complete savage, to think he is still in highschool beating up decent fighters in the UFC that are in their 30's is wild. This is the craziest thing if ever seen in the sport.
@@johnhendrix28 exactly what I'm thinking, as I'm Im highschool myself Training mixed martial arts 🥋 and I can definitely say it's extremely hard to even beat guys your age in the amateur level never mind Decent 30 year old ufc fighters who have been training there whole life 😨
To b honest did not watch contenders so this was first time seeing him and boyyyy I can’t wait to see what this kid evolves over the next few years. Fits right in and very entertaining to watch.
Wow I wasn’t sold on him when he got signed, but he clearly has the skills and the fact that he can speak Spanish and English so well I think he could be a real star.
Cool dude.. I think everyone that is Just starting in the UFC says the same thing I'm here to take this sport to another level... I hope this kid goes far
@@deeuhhbahuc5063 thank you. No I just see talent and call it what it is. They want to say all they want but then they will be later oh ya he was good I knew it from the beginning but talking crap now.
This kid is has a chip on his shoulder man! You know he’s really gonna take of his family too I just pray the bright lights and chaos doesn’t ruin his potential ❤god speed I’ll be watching !
The vitality of a youngen, tenacity of a prime fighter and the potential to being one of the greatest vets in the sport, We're witnessing something special here people, savour it
Love the young gun. I hope he has a good manager to keep his head in check so he can continue to grow. The sky is the limit. Can't wait to see him take on his next challenge.
I love everything about this kid especially cos a close friend of mine looks just exactly like him 👌😀 And I love the way how the press presented him and the questions that was asked were great and 👏 for everything!!
This. This is why i say some of the Brazilians should learn english but you can tell theyre too proud to want to learn. The level of fame and money and sponsorships connections just doubles by knowing another language
I think they know he has goals and they’re helping him stay focused. I’m sure he doesn’t mind them keeping him accountable he’s still a teenager after all
I'm not one to hop on bandwagons, but this kid truly has a bright future. Great personality and work ethic. Cool to see an 18 year old in this position being so humble.
Very possibly. But everyone's huge until they're not. Paddy looked like an assassin until he didn't. I think Paddy's issue was turning down the UFC when he was 21 and flying.
This Young man is a true testimony of what can be done when someone at an early age puts their mind body and soul and most of all Heart into a dream and taking that dream an American Dream and making it reality. He has the ability to think fast on his feet or on the ground I cannot imagine what this young man is going to be like when he hits his 20's that is a true sign of what a future Champion and Hall of Fame athlete is. I see this young man making some huge waves in a division full of talented athletes. I look forward to seeing him also get in a match with someone that cna even compete with his high level of jiu-jitsu and actually see what he is made of when he takes some solid punches and they realize this young man is still coming at an insane pace if they have not already got tapped out. Congratulations to him and his family for all the hard work and dedication they have given to make his dream come true. Godbless
@@JacowateHamaeran what group of brothers did not fight when they where young and he obviously taught them to use it what martial arts is for and he seems like he has good discipline and skill so Bravo to his father for rasing his boys up to not take crap. More of what some of these boys need now a day's
Salvador Sanchez, this kid reminds me of that boxing legend, he was such a humble boxer, unfortunately died very young, i hope Raul keeps his humbleness always, we Mexicans are totally against arrogant fighters, even our fighters
As a Mexican this kid just inspired me a lot showing all of us that anything is posible…I hope he becomes a champion n achieves what he wants just became his biggest fan much Respect🫡
@@fitzy28101 Poverty & unfortunate living conditions for majority of the population.. Not to mention high amounts of violence & substance abuse issue's throughout. (obviously not limited to Mexico alone) The world isn't the same everywhere mate. Positive role models can make a huge difference to peoples lives.
Man how can you not like him. At 17 he’s fricking humble, down to earth, confident. Not cocky or arrogant or a brat. It’s not getting over his head. I am excited to see what’s coming the next 10-20 years for him. Good for him! Talent & hard work
Kid is young but they way he talks it's like he's been here for 10 years. He's not stuttering, he's authentic he's on point his head seems to be in the right place.he sees his path to the title. He just mentioned top 15 he seems informed, educated, focused its crazy and he's only 17, he's got a sense of humor seems comfortable in his own skin, he's proud of his heritage. He makes a lot more sense than a lot of these hype jobs. This the real hype. Just spoke about McGregor in the most perfect way possible for someone as young as him and in his position. Wow!!!
Man I gotta stay, might be my new favorite up and commer. The kids putting in the work and staying humble, you don’t see that very often from some of the fighters nowadays
Ain't gonna lie I started training at 18, and 5 years later I've never been in a mma gym longer than a month but seeing this is cool you gotta have a hell of a lot of support to become a mma fighter.
Glad he speaks both English and Spanish. This kid will be a star if he keeps on a good smart path and doesn’t let the ufc push him too fast. Sounds like he wants to be pushed fast but for his sake I hope someone doesn’t let it happen
He did extremely well, and I know he’s going to gain more traction. I just hope he doesn’t sell out because he gain social media clout. I want to see him win because he earned it not because it would be a bad business decision for UFC to let him lose after tonight. It really seems like UFC is turning into boxing. It’s all about clout and profit.
