I have a 2023 rav4 prime se. No fog lights and will be doing it slightly differently. Going to get an aftermarket plastic inserts with fog light holes and replace the fog light wiring and bulbs with SS3 Diode wiring, solid state relay etc. The only thing I will keep from the aftermarket is the oem switch and of course use the DRL wires attached to the extra accent lights that are part of the plastic inserts. So I have figured out what SS3 wires in the cabin I attach to the OEM switch. I was looking for any wiring hints to connect 12V red power to the fog relay and also where to tap off low beams, or side marker, and high beams and turn signals. Hopefully some gems here but any hints helpful. Okay I see where you are getting 12V power with the blade sticking out near the red cover switch in the fuse box.
Can you give a step by step of this process, I have been trying to do the same thing but on a hybrid and for some odd reason I can’t get my fog lights to even turn on
What size is that female connector you have on the power wire? I need one of those so I can hook it onto that blade in the fuse box. Please let me know asap. Much appreciated.
It's just a normal female spade connector. Use the size that matches up to the wire you are using. Sorry that's my best suggestion is to get a pack or spade connectors and use the one that fits best.
if your Rav4 didn't come with fog lights and you go out and buy ANY kit, there will be no PLUG & PLAY, you'll have to wire the entire thing. .......feel free to give us a link and prove me wrong (please, because I'm about to install these)
