This is seriously one of my favorite pieces to listen to. Just because of the composer Ravel, and the very romantic feel that he composes his songs in.

Karl Haas was the one that clued me on to this piece. He was a great 20th century icon that made even the truck drivers listen to classical music.

Novice en matière de musique classique, ma connaissance sur Ravel s'arrêtait au fameux Boléro. Je découvre ici une oeuvre sublime magnifiquement interprétée. Bravo.

I love the French language and because of my high English vocabulary I understand most of your comment and therefore thank you.

An amazingly impeccable performance. I wish the ballet was performed. The story behind the music is very sensitive and enthralling.

Yes, man. Amazing and beautiful. Sometimes I wonder, if there are a lot people who does not know this music (they will dead without listening it), I guess people do not have cultural concerns. It's a pity.

Without Wagner and the Russians as well as thereafter the sweet touch of the French style of Debussy this piece would have not come to be. Totally dreamlike with very internally meditative moments. Earlier the "Gaspard de la Nuit" as well as the Opera "L'Hourve Espagnole" showed a maturity in this gorgeously impresionistcal style of music. The rhythmical energy toward the end is absolutely stupendous.
