Aww! Thank you so much. I really appreciate you saying that. My brain sometimes struggles to keep up with the ideas. I've actually been doing meditation lately to try to quiet my mind a little bit.
Idk if you remember. BUT, you are the one who inspired me to start scrapbooking again. Seeing all of your awesomely made books is so inspiring. I bought a couple of your tutorials last year. And haven't made them fully, yet. Lol. (Life got in the way), but I just wanted you to know again that you are such an inspiration. The time it takes you to create each book. The tutorials that you make and how you do all of this, it is beyond me.( Lol) They're very detailed and helpful.❤❤❤
Many people who have purchased my journals say that they use them as gratitude journals or manifestation journals. I think if you're writing from the heart, nothing could ever ruin it! ( even if your writing is messy like mine!)
Beautiful album Katia, I Love Ravens. I'll have to save up for the bundle, can't wait to buy it. I'd like to to ask what paper/cardstock do you recommend printing the images onto please for the best quality? Thank you and best wishes from Cher in Australia 🙂🇦🇺💙
Thank you Amanda, I love Ravens too. Such amazingly intelligent birds. Beautiful too. I have all of my digital papers printed at my local copy shop on 80# cardstock with a silk finish. That's what gives them that bit of sheen. Most printers should have cardstock with a silk or satin finish.
Katia, one of the beautiful papers with two ravens, the bottom raven seems to have three wings. Am I going mad (a definite possibility)? Anyway going to order the paper pack now. Love and hugs xxx
My daughter would absolutely adore this, she love birds.. I may try to recreate it for her for her birthday in August. I do have a question .. every time I make a journal, my pages warp and they never look as professional as yours.. I use pva.. and I try not to use a lot but they always seem to get rippley .. what am I doing wrong?
I'm sure your daughter will love an album you make for her! In answer to your paper question....what weight of cardstock are you using? The moisture content of wet adhesive will make the paper ripple if it's not thick enough to hold up to it. I hope that helps.
You need to change your paper trimmer blade. To get rid of all those little pieces of paper you can use an exacto knife and just run it lightly along the edges of the paper. The papers are beautiful. ;-)
What a beautifully dramatic range of images. Wonderful how you have managed to get the same blue tone through the images. Great album/journal. Twiddling my thumbs deciding which to go for. I know combined makes more sense, just balancing the budget. Good luck with the markets.
Thank you so much! I definitely understand balancing the budget as a full time artist. I'm always hustling to make sure the term "starving artist" never applies to me! The bundle is the best value for sure
And once again, you have made a beautiful album. The papers are stunning. I really love the jewelry as well. Have been looking at your tutorials on the jewelry. Wishing you good sales in the upcoming markets. You have beautiful art to share with all. How are Zuri and Tundra?
Thank you so much! I'm still learning so much about making the clay jewelry but I'm so very excited about it. I feel like my skill level is growing. Zuri and Tundra are wonderful and happy that I'm spending much more time at home in the studio. They're with me as I create, much of the time.
Me too! I really want to encourage people to be creative and enjoy their journal for whatever they want to use them for. Writing, doodles, song lyrics, collage, so many things!
That's always a good time, girl time and body art! I have had snake bites (lip) for 21 years and have always wanted something to kinda balance it out but still haven't figured it out yet. It's between septum, ala of the nose, possibly eyebrow. What a great way to remember that time though!
We had planned to get matching tattoos as well ( two of us are pretty heavily inked) but it was sooo expensive! We decided to get them from a local artist instead.
