Choosing the right perks from the Reputation system early on can significantly enhance your experience, a lesson I learned the hard way due to insufficient research. Sleeper perk is the Ranger's Valor perk that increases your prestige points by 7% and 15% for a total of 22%. At first you might think this is useless once you get to the highest rank possible, but if you press B in game you'll see all these bonus stats against specific monsters including additional drop rate. These stats are based on the prestige points you earn. So if you're into PvE then this seems really strong longterm.
One addition: You can pick one next tier perk for every previous tier perk you have, you can't pick for example 2 tier 3 perks unless you have 2 tier 2 perks. Personally I don't think you have made a mistake, as tier 1 offers generally good perks while tier 4 has mainly only pvp perks. To get multiple tier 5 perks which are tier 1 but better, you have to pick multiple of the pvp perks. As tier 1 is very cheap, I believe it's OK to get most of them, even t2 and t3, and the true choice is what tier 5+ perks you go for
Guys keep in mind that whenever someone voices their opinion on either discord or reddit about all the negative things in game and about all the false promises / lies from Knighter, they get deleted and that content gets removed.
@@ToteTorres69 Yeah, they heavily moderate everyone except the Trailblazer supporters who are allowed to be racist, toxic and attack you in any way possible.

definitely some very questionable design decisions in this game.. seemed cool and new at first but now showing its flaws. Putting the absolutely horrible UI aside, Ranger board grind is horribly bad game design, permanent dialogue decisions/reputation perks, raven cards/limited housing without the potential for illegal farms.. a lot of how these things are designed will drive players away in the long run. Not to mention this huge grind to end game which is probably going to put off any potential new players. The game is destined to die in a couple months with no real way for people to catch up. What archeage did well was that the questing toward end game only took less than a week until everyone could be at a level playing field (aside from p2w). The grind to endgame with this doesn't seem to have an end at all at this point. They say the "journey" is more important than the destination: but this journey so far is a meat grinder. Not fun. The only thing I'm having fun with is the ship game play because gear/levels/cards/op builds don't matter at all.
I totally get where you're coming from and find myself nodding along to a lot of what you're saying. But, you know, I can't help but hold onto some hope for the game. The devs have been really quick to respond, which counts for a lot in my book. Sure, we haven't seen the fixes yet, but they've made it clear they're on it. That reassures me a bit, and I'm crossing my fingers they'll deliver before we see too many players drift away. For now, staying positive is my game plan. Fingers crossed, right?
I have played triple A game that have worse decisions, trust me. At least they are willing to fix, and even knigther himself said he doesn't like the current reputation system. We should be thankful it's not a a cash grab game. They could've easily followed the initial route of selling ravenpack for real money. And they would be fucking rich.
The "huge" grind to "endgame" is a major plus to this game. If it took a week to hit the endgame, one of the primary allures of this game would be gone. That's how every other MMO in 2024 functions, so it's deeply enjoyable to experience a game that's more focused on the journey.
I don't like that there's nothing telling us if we can eventually grab all of them or if we are hard limited to x amount of rep. Having no way to respec this sucks
@@ToteTorres69 yeah, but "eventually" is no good, no one cares about what is going to happen in 2 years time they care about their experience now and this will make them lose a lot of player base. simply because they refuse to help you.

In the wiki says u can earn reputation in Dynamic events, and if u want 3 perks of the last line, u need 3 perks in every line... so... u'll get all this perks one day... its just grinding... this games is designe like a Old mmorpg (ragnork etc..) the road to max level is long, there is some exp tables in beta, 2k/h to get level 75
