As sung by Kissoon D. Ramasar from Trinidad around 1973. (Dohā) Rām ke kāj jāiye, taj bal buddhī nidhān; āsīs de surasā chale, harakh chale Hanumān. Go do the work of Ram, with your repository of strength & knowledge. The demoness gives her blessings, as Hanuman carries on joyfully. 0. (Refrain) Ai! Māno māno, āj māno māno, asurā more sīkh; Siyā ke leke Rām ko milo. Māno māno, māno māno, asurā more sīkh; Siyā ke dekhe Rām se milo, māno māno.(ĀĪŪṛāīū) Heed my advice, O Lord (Ravan), take Sita back to Ram. 1.Kahe Mandodarī suno piyā Rāvan, ye kyā kumatī kamāī; jinake Jānakī tū hār lāyā, vo shaktī do-u bhāī. Lankā - sarī ke kota hamārā, ratana gir se khāī; ati lākh kī chaukī thāre, bhāg jāye do-u bhāī. (Ref) Mandodari says, “Listen, my beloved Ravan, what sort of ill-conceived notion, is this kidnapping of Janak’s daughter from the two brothers.” (Ravan says), “This entire kingdom of Lanka is impenetrable - eighty thousand guards man its outposts, that will drive away the 2 brothers. 2.Hanumān aise pāyak jinake, aur sangh Lachuman se bhāī; jaltī agin me' kūd paṛegā, kotī gin gina khāī. Arre Meghanāth aisā putrā hamārā, Kumbhkaran aisā bhāī; ghar mangavāū’gī mandir se, vo shaktī do-u bhāī. (Ref) Hanuman is such a skilled soldier, like a brother of Lakshman, they will jump into a burning fire & not be destroyed to pieces. Meghnad is a great son and Kumbhakaran is such a brother - they will capture the two divine brothers from the temple. 3. Bāndar ik Lankā me' āye, ghar ghar dhūm jo chhāye; Bāgh bivans Lankā ko jārā, jā sāgar tīr pūchh bujhāye. Ab tū kyā dare Mandodarī Rānī, pīhar tū pehachhān; Mai' larane se hāru' nāhī, tū nā hāq ghabarān. (Ref) A monkey came into Lanka, making mischief at every house, burning down the courtyard & gardens, then extinguishing his tail in the sea. Why fear now, dear Queen Mandodari? Recognize the greatness of your husband, in battle I cannot be defeated. Do not be troubled. 4. Ghāt ghāt Lachuman ne roke, ghat roke Rām; Darvāje Angad ne roke, bīch laṛe Hanumān. Rām jīt ghar Lankā āye, ghar ghar bajata badhāī; Hanumān kī chaukī thāre, Tulasīdās bal jāyī. (Ref) Ambush after ambush were thwarted by Lakshman - as well as by Shri Ram, Angad, and Hanuman. On returning home from Lanka, congratulations were showered from every home. Hanuman is a revered soldier - and Tulsidas sings his praises. .
I totally agree with your comment. This guy is ruining the song. There is no feeling or inspiration as he sings it. Ramcharitar (early 60s) sung it very well.
