I grew up in Bend Or. back before in exploded in the Mountian bike scene. Baker has always need one of my favorite cities in Oregon. It’s great to see it getting some love.

There isn't really any shuttle services here except for special events. Anthony Lakes does a few lift days each summer and the MERA trails does a couple. Most days you get to climb up. It's still worth it.
@@OutdoorsJustin thanks for the reply. I'm fine with climbing. Just wanted to make sure that they were climbable, and that you didn't need to set something up to get back to the rig.
If you go to MERA and want to do the upper trails like Caffeine, Upper Hotshot to Slammer to Depends are the climbing trails. I have climbed Caffeine, but you are better off climbing the others.
Boring ! Does he ever ride up hill, or only down hill after a friend takes him back up a hill to his truck. That's pure laziness. Only likes the thrill of going down hill, never the work of going up hill by gearing down and using your muscles to work your way up hill. Probably only gets exercise at a gym, never actually riding a bike up hill.
