I have only a slight connection to Josh. My sons went to high school with him (different grades and were not friends) and played baseball against him. But I do remember him and the vids of him sometimes pop up in my recommends. This dude LIVED his life! What a total badass human. The world is a lesser place without Josh.
I'm sorry to hear that Josh passed away, I just recently heard now :(. I hope the best wishes to his family and loved ones today and in the future, may Josh rest in peace in heaven.
I happened to come across this video algorithmically about two years ago, and since then, I've watched it more than ten times. The way you looked while riding the board was really cool. From that moment on, I preferred boarding. Despite falling countless times, I kept challenging myself because I had a strong desire to ride the board. In the end, I may not ride the board as perfectly as you do, but various boards such as skateboards, shortboards, longboards, S-boards, and even snowboards have become my hobbies. I can confidently say that I've reached a certain level of proficiency in riding them! I appreciate you for introducing me to the joy of boarding. Thank you.
Я его не знал .... Очень жаль что он ушел...... Но первое видео,на котором он летел на огромной скорости, почему-то я подумал парень себя не бережет,,😥
Rest in peace a true legend, a true character. Someone who defied the odds, someone who captivated all of our minds. Rest easy and know you inspired so many of us with your bravery. Gone too soon
@@jssjnehdjrndn6083 sadly so, he died in either a plane crash or helicopter. Pretty sure it was a plane crash, rip a legend. Honestly shoutout you for asking and reminding me of him
Emma Gaytan Well he is using a long board which is made for crusing around and not tricks. It has smoother and softer weels so the rocks and road don’t effect it that much because the actual board he is using is made for just skating around
I would like to take a moment and say this is amazing i dare to say this is art, beautiful the amount of commitment you put in in every turn is mind blowing
Todd m first of all it’s a quote that is hilarious and was meant to be a joke cause it fit here. Second, you’re absolutely right on all that. I just prefer to live my life NOT all fucked up and broken. I also wasn’t aware that pumping your life full of adrenaline was the only way to live 😂😂😂
Man that was epic riding. I used to be a skater back in the day and I remember going down a highway with some buddies we were going about 45miles a hour. It was a adrenaline rush for sure.
Dude im watching behind a screen and that last line there was so much speed that I was afraid, I was like "i'd panicked right there and bailed off, prob dying from it" respect you are brave and talented. (prob a bit crazy too)
No idea why in my recommended... but I watched the whole damn thing. Impressive!! I think some lightweight motorcycle gear would be a good idea though! Jesus
There's actually specific "leathers" for downhill longboarding that are made specifically to fit the form of a downhill tuck. They can be anywhere from $400-$2000 depending on the brand, features, and if it's custom fit or not.
You can actually see he's wearing G-Form protector shorts, and I'd say he has knee protectors under those jeans too, but yes, I'd probably put on a leathersuit on doing that.
i always have to come to the comment section because I think im dreaming or something. rest in peace josh. you nade the best out of your life and you're such an inspiration to millions of us. bought a skateboard few months ago, you’re my motivation to keep going and never give up.
Nobody has proper control over their lives, dude. He died in february,2022 from a plane crash. So live your life to its fullest and always remember that, only you have the control over your life. Oh, your from India too?!
Fun fact: the drifts on a longboard or skate board are called powerslides a good way to slow down or turn more effectively but shreds ur skateboard wheels to be flat so be careful if you use em always check ur wheels before you skate because flatwheels can get you to face palm the floor
personally i do this, the speed that you get is so dangerous, i like how he drifts though, even though i have 3 years of experience iv'e never been able to drift, this guy inspired me.
We need a camera man for the camera man Edit: came back to this comment 2 years later had no idea that the man who made this video and liked my comment has now passed 😔 RIP
thinking of using webbed gloves for training, do people use similar things for downhill training? what tools are people using to slow speed safely and significantly these days other than using the wheel slides/cuts?
Unless it just got knocked out of the way, at those speeds its hard to tell, but i do think a well placed pebble could probably eff him upp ! If he doesnt get his timing right he could go flying out of a corner face first over a small concrète barricade down the mountain....
@@renisking7580 yeah you see. Thats not the correct use of woooosh, you use woooosh when someone doesnt get the joke. He only corrected stacy on her wrong understanding.
@Dat While that might be true, it's highly unlikely for him to be ragdolled, even going 40-50 mph, most of the time, as long as the board doesn't immediately stop (like if he ran into a retaining wall), he would keep balance for at least a second, and allow himself to get into a position so he can slide on the pucks and his shoes so as not to get injured fatally. That said, it is a dangerous game that longboarders play, but I'm sure none of them want to die, and have other, more subtle safety measure in place to protect against serious injury.
