Your videos are keeping me sane Bruce. I’m just watching from the start again and again. My hubby is critically ill, double pneumonia in ICU ventilated, then his kidneys totally packed in, permanently it seems now and then 2 small strokes. It’s been 6 weeks of hell but I’ll tell you Bruce, watching all your videos again and again has kept me sane, listening to your banter brings a smile to my lips after rough days. You really are a legend. Never let anyone say your banter is a waste, it’s bloody precious IMO. ❤

Hey Bruce I remember when my moms was this bad.. and the luck we had. a city sewer cleaner was driving by.. and knew my dad... they stopped and sucked the water out of the area as well dug the hole down to the line 2m or so... so they could replace 3m of collapsed line... and then brought replacement dirt.. as they used the nozzle to make the hole and sucked the liquid dirt out.. with no bill from the city lol. but i know that smell
I think it's two guys in different locations. A lot of the videos like this one has a higher pitched voice and says bloody almost every other word, other videos are a bit deeper with only then odd bloody thrown in.
Thank you again Bruce for another amazing video that had me on the edge of my seat. That was one heck of a blocked drain and good on you for putting a sand barrier so that nasty stuff didn't go into that person's pool. I worked in Sydney for a few months, then went and visited my relatives up in Brisbane. At their houses, they showed me all the spiders that were waiting to kill me if I wasn't paying attention under the garage door, and even on the side on the house on the bricks. When I got back home in the U.S. was relieved when I could not worry about the bugs that were trying to kill me when I wasn't paying attention. You rock with you work ethic and lack of fear putting you hands in dark pipes.

@@langsense probably because his audience was much smaller back then and a rerun allows for all the new viewers to see something they otherwise may have missed out (not everyone goes back and watches a channel's old videos haha) and it also gives ol' Brucey a break from video editing and such for RU-vid. a win win! this is a brand new video for me despite having been a subscriber for a few months now. really appreciate the rerun, i enjoyed this video a lot!

Watching from Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. Two observations: 1) You appear to run your council sewer [we call it city sewer] along the fencerow at the back of the property; we typically have it in the street in front. 2) You seem to use thin wall pipe [schedule 20] PVC pipe for the outside sewer. We use thick wall [sch 40] for buried sewers. I believe that schedule 20 is the reason for all the root intrusions. Of course, we used to [through the 1960s] use red clay pipes mortared together like bricks are. And with the normal cracking and crushing you would expect with buried clay and mortar. And every two feet was a joint for roots to enter.
Depends on the area. Pipes gotta go where they’re able to. Vegas is only 352 square kilometers, Perth, where Bruce is, is 6418 square kilometres, so about the size of Delaware. Yes, Australia has cities bigger than some of your states. That’s a lot of pipes. Perth is also older than Vegas by 70 years. So it’s a bit like asking why a VW Beetle doesn’t run on electricity like a Tesla.

Gosh the drain might need repairing - but the walls defo do - shocking work with those gaps! It was also really cool how the drain was pulling the sewage back there from the holes you made, never seen that before, only the ones where anything that's gone out stays out! As ever, lovely seeing your channel and glad you've got the go-pro on - much easier to watch! :)
