Great content. Keep up the good work and knowledge sharing. I enjoyed the brief hydration/nutrition segment at 1:45. Would like to see similar bits sprinkled in future videos (tool kit setup, morning routine, understanding the route sheet, making the most of your gas stop, etc.)
Wicked, thanks! Here are some other videos I made diving into a few topics you mentioned. @SeatTime Ulnar nerve.. mine got pinched in a reconstruction. Riding sucked. Had a 2019 sherco 300. No balancing shaft.. rough on the hands. Mako 360 helps a TON. I run the softest inserts they have. Moving to a newer balanced bike helped a ton also. Riding a 2023 sherco 250. Way better. Going to a 4stroke would help also. Keep on going. Surgery to move the nerve isn't bad.. but costly without good insurance. Meeting with my hand doctor in a couple weeks to check a broken finger and see about doing a jumper nerve in my hand.. my ulnar might be f^%@%%. Still gonna race till I just can't. Forever B class maybe. 😪
If you want to try them out, start on non-race days so you can play it. I consume them a little all day to try and stave off muscle fatigue and breakdown. I noticed better recovery first, then realized it felt let it was helping me as well throughout the day. Note: we still need strength training.
No smartcarb. JD Jetting kit, but I swapped out the needle to the Suzuki (13383-37FE0) needle (recommendation from a friend). I run 50:1 Maxima K2. Last top end there was some carbon build up, but also not horrible. I am not a carb specialist by any means. I do adjust the air screw for cold/heat, but I don't get crazy. The JD Jetting settings have always gotten me 'better than stock", especially when I got to Colorado or elevation.
And actually, now that I think about it, I have a video from 2022 where I talk about the carb settings for a CO trip. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-nHsJ-AE4wuQ.html
@@williamcrotts7054 not sure honestly. Here's the link to it on Motosport: www.motosport.com/oem-parts/part-number/13383-37fe0 Let me know if it is that one please.
Good question. It wasn’t 3 miles of trail. We rode two track for maybe half a mile, jumped in a dirt road, jumped into a fresh cut trail, then more two track. The first miles were to bring us to another property from where we camped. Cutting in trail, if possible, would be awesome!
