Great video Nick! To me this type of video is much more relatable. Watching "edited" videos where it looks like they catch fish every cast is pretty unrealistic. Thank you for making this real life content. I truly loved it.

I love the concept of these videos! I think it does a really great job of showing that livescope, and fishing in general, is not just a point and shoot game or something where you can always call your shot. I feel that livescope, while it give a huge advantage of seeing how the fish react, I believe in the long run that it’s simply just another tool to make the sport we love so much more enjoyable. Keep up the great videos! Can’t wait to see more!

What is the progression in your mind to move from crawler to plastic? Just the mess? Seems really early for crawlers but the weather is weird.
@NickLindner
@NickLindner 2 месяца назад
My biggest thought is that fish behave differently around plastics. The mood of the fish changes quickly throughout the day. When you can elicit a positive response from fish on plastics, you will be able to get a lot more bites using them vs. livebait. The fish act more aggressively towards plastics, and strike harder. Of course, sometimes livebait is the best way to catch them, so I like to play with both, just mixing it up and reading the mood/reaction of the fish.

Why do you prefer the live on the trolling motor vs on a hand pole so you can adjust its position while the trolling motor spot locks? Great video by the way, found this very informational on how to see the presentation and what you are looking at while on the water! The overlay of live with your camera is 🔥
@NickLindner
@NickLindner 2 месяца назад
Of course there are times when it’s nice having spot lock and a transducer on a pole, but I find you can be way more efficient with the transducer on the trolling motor and your foot on the peddle. You get both hands to operate and your foot to control boat position and transducer angle.

Assuming the time of day plays a big factor in the activity of the strikes?

Its a great comment that if it makes it more enjoyable, then use whatever technology you want. However, there is a foreseeable slippery slope - if we could all fly drones over a lake, use radar to show us where ALL the fish were in the lake, and the sizes, should we use it? If every angler could directly target the largest fish in every lake...
