I want to look up when Raven and the Flock make their debut but I don't want to spoil it. I know the Flock didn't really get over but as a kid I thought they were cool, at least half of them like Raven, Kidman and Saturn. Riggs fit the look too, shame that boy didn't get over.
That bit absolutely made me flash back to when i used to have Karate Fighters. They were kinda fun to play with for like a couple minutes, then as a kid our hands would get tired and we would just play Mario or Street Fighter or something like that. 😄👍
99-01 were great years of Wrestling for me(except for WCW in 2000 that sucked lol). WWF in 2000 was excellent and WWF 2001 was decent to above average for the whole year especially after WM 17, but the Invasion Angle after SummerSlam or Unforgiven 2001 was disappointing but way better than anything from WWE 2019 to now. Reviewing Retro Raw’s and Smackdown’s from February-December 2001(Up to the July 23rd Raw is War after Invasion now, I will do a video review for my RU-vid Channel on July 27th). Also, going back and watching/reviewing the WWF PPV’s from January 2001-May 2002, up to SummerSlam 2001(already watched it some weeks ago).
97-98 was the best year ever for wrestling without a doubt. The ratings show that. Big part of my childhood. Crazy how many people were watching wrestling back then.
@@martynodonnell8467 I wished WCW never went out of business WCW vs WWF brought out the best in each other promotion but unfortunately mismanagement of WCW was eventually the downfall of the promotion
I died laughing at the Karate Fighters video with Creed's "My Sacrifice" song in the background. I swear if some jobber gets injured, Wrestling Bios should hype up their return with U2's "Beautiful Day" which was used to hype Triple H's return before he came back in 2002.
I was just saying to myself seconds before the music hit, “wouldn’t it be funny if he did a Creed style video package for this tournament?”, and he only went and did it! 🤣
Only a couple of weeks left. I think 97 was the greatest year for pro wrestling ever. So much going on and the whole landscape of the business and what each company were offering, especially WWF, changed dramatically. I know the war started in 95. However 97 was when it really took off.
@@ShubhamMishrabro yeah the booking from both WCW and WWF wasn’t as strong during 99 as it had been during 97 and 98. WWF did get back on top with the booking during 2000 though. Much of the booking by WWF during 99 focused on the McMahons. WCW seemingly didn’t know how to or didn’t want to make new stars. They still had the NWO storyline going on during 99. Although they had a solid mid card. No one was getting pushed. The same wrestlers that were on top during 96, were mostly the same stars still on top during 99. They weren’t evolving with the times and got very stale. They had few fresh ideas. Therefore started going downhill, during the later half of 98 into 99.
@@martynodonnell8467 wwf was great till 2000 then in 2001 they started declining with invasion angle then triple h reign of terror started only SmackDown was good during that period
After watching over 100 hrs of your content I finally decided to support you on Patreon. Well deserved with all the amazing content you provide. Thanks
Did Harlem Heat legitimately break the Manly Meter a couple of weeks back? That's two consecutive weeks the Faces Of Fear have fought and it's been nowhere to be seen.
Bischoff and all of the NWO played the crowd so well. The arrogance of Eric as he walks to the ring is perfect. Ignoring all the trash just makes people hate him more and throw more stuff at him. Most companies would hate this happening but WCW almost made it part of the show and it made fans so much more invested in the characters and storyline
Someday I’m going to hit the lottery, start a wrestling company, and then I’m going to hire you in any capacity that you wish. Talent, writer, booker, color commentary, anything. With you on board we will create the greatest wrestling company of all time. Haha I can dream. Great work as always brother!
This is the first video I’ve watched from this series and I was crying laughing. I have 60 videos to catch up on and I’m looking forward to every single one.
I am feeling some "Mandela effect" every single week as i was CONVINCED that Arn's last match ever was at Halloween Havoc against Lex. I think he's wrestled every single week on Nitro since! lol
I'm currently binging all of these before bed after I stumbled upon this channel and it makes me happy af. Thanks for all your amazing work, seriously, this kind of content for me is invaluable.
Piper was amazing. There are 4 dead wrestlers I really miss. Owen, Pillman, Eddie and Piper. The world and not just wrestling missed something when they died.
To be fair Sullivan has explained that he broke with Woman before the whole affair storyline was put on TV as the relationship was already rocky due to Woman just not being well and even stabbing him one night.
This man has done so much for Karate Fighters.. They really needed you for advertising because me and all of my friends preferred Rock and Sock em Robots
For someone who was just born when all of this is happening this is the next best thing than going back and actually rewatching. And it’s cool seeing the way major events were built too.
28:45 To this day I still cite this as perhaps the funniest moment in Reliving the War history thus far. I literally will just remember this part randomly throughout my day and will nearly cry laughing
Omg if you knew how happy this made me, this was the day I was born! So cool! Thank you for making this, another great video honestly you're my favourite wrestling youtube channel
We still have 5 more years of shows! So awesome. I was a Nitro guy back then so to see them put head to head is very cool. Didn't know much of what Raw was doing. Stick with it. New intro looks great
I thought I had finally escaped "Creed"... and here you go reminding me of their existence. The excellent "Reliving the War" video makes it worth hearing, though.
Anyone else come to the realization that Kevin Sullivan enjoyed being cuckolded here? He knew full well what was going on and encouraged it. Kevin even rewarded Benoit by booking him to win the WCW championship years later.
I love the reliving the war series. Thank you for putting these videos together for us. Also could you please do a sting vs vampiro feud please and thank you
WWE should just buy a time slot and play these shows. They could even put them back to back against eachother. Tuesday night. It would get better ratings and sell more merchandise than what they've been doing the last 15 years or so.
