Just found this guy the other night and I'm ashamed of myself for not listening to him before now . Absolutely One of the best bands and he's one of the best singers I've ever heard.
I'm equally embarrassed as I only found JJ over covid and just searching all kinds of stuff. Found Tesky Brothers, too. JJ is passionate. The River was my first song, then the flood gates opened. He is outstanding. To me, he's the most recent incarnation of Frankie Miller! Don't be ashamed...I'm 51 yes old...lol!
Saw J.J.Grey for the first time about a month ago, with Blues Traveler as the headliner band. Blues Traveler showed up for the pay, but J.J.GREY and MOFRO they showed up to play. They absolutely blew them other chumps away. Really sings from the heart. Will definitely go see them again GOD WILLING!!
Nice! I hope hes still touring although living in Grand Forks ND I might have to do some driving considering Minneapolis would probably be the closest he comes to here!
What a beautiful song about his grandfather and grandmother taking him to the hospital. My grandmother hung herself when I was a little kid, after my grandfather died from drinking. Then my only Uncle shot himself when I was in rehab 2 years ago. My father left when i was 3. Did I ever have a chance? Cancer now. Chemo and radiation is Hell. God take me now please. God take me now please. God can you hear my pleas?
He'll yes he awesome and band let's u feel great take away sadness pain what day u have bring u back to good feeling in life feel great party to me relaxed
I was just looking for the song by them ' I believe', wich i really love and have had on my spotify for a long time. But then I found this gem of a concert. Loved it! 😊👏👏
now I know where I've been I haven't heard of this man is because I'm so far back in the woods deep in the country that you got to pop sunshine to me Lord and his Mercy this man sounds you just hear it all over this man I love that too
Nunya Nunya When you say I listen to the Blues there like really.. The thing is the blues can take you to a different place if you let it .. It will reach each person different I love this man singing so much
Y’all make my soul sing. I’m from SW Missouri and this feels like what I’ve been missing all my life and home. I’d love if you could do a pandemic live cast of some kind. Saw y’all at Longmont Octoberfest and at Red Rocks. JJ, you know you’re dying to slay these (inside) crowds!!’
Thanks for loving me you don't have to tell me I know with out a doubt,,,, and when that dout GETS me down I know better I know you love me no matter what happens we love each other 💞😍
I'm straight from South Korea and never have left the city. But knowing this amazing band got me this crazy swamp-blues-vibe and now I have no one else to share it with here. Should I move? To where then?
@@chrismurphy4021 I'll say this , when he's not wearing jeans t-shirts he's sharply dressed .. just saying. Ya see, I'm not a fashion guy, I'm a music guy. For me it's about how much heart, soul and energy he has. And that he let's it out through his voice and music
I don't know where I've been but I tell you what that's who I want to marry and I'm 55 years old I never had a driver's license or a marriage license and I live in the southwest hot as f*** sorry but anyway that's the kind of man I want and whoever is listening and knows me by Amy frix now you understand you got to be a real man sound like a man I know you're a real f****** man just so you can get by In this world much less catch the eye of a really peculiar but real pretty girl or woman should I say but I love this man I do and when I get on my hands and knees to pray to God tonight before I get my bed I'm going to ask for a man like that cuz he's probably going to talk so I got to ask God for another but I love it thank you
"Electric Swamp Funkin Blues" is now a new genre of music. JJ Grey, Selwyn Birchwood, Damon Fowler, Tab Benoit & Victor Wainwright all fall into this genre. Betty Fox as well, but I don't think she's performing since the start of C-V.
I've seen Selwyn, Damon, Tab & Betty all play...all great musicians...But this JJ...WOW...I can't believe I've never heard of him...I literally just watch a video of him 2 hours ago and cant stop listening...amazing voicee, beats...my new favorite
I'm late to the party as well @@cheryllongtin3833. JJ is a close 2nd to my current favorite artist. Blackberry Smoke is ahead by a nose between the 2. And BBS opened for JJ Grey during a tour a few years ago.
“Every Minute” is one of the best, uplifting songs that I have ever heard! He does it in a Van outside of a venue they were playing and I think it’s actually better than the studio version’ ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-PYV44MF5nNQ.html
